Abstract

Blockchain adalah sistem penyimpanan data digital yang terdiri dari beberapa jaringan dan multiserver (Shalini Chandra, 2020). Sistem blockchain memberikan keuntungan berupa transparansi data dan kecepatan transfer data serta terdesentralisasi. Desentralisasi mencakup data yang diproses di server yang dapat diverifikasi dan disebarkan di server lain. Tidak hanya terbatas pada cryptocurrency, tetapi sistem blockchain juga memiliki kelebihan untuk merekam data. Teknologi Blockchain sudah banyak diterapkan di berbagai bidang, dan bidang usaha di sektor kelautan, dan teknologi ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan manfaat yang komprehensif. Namun, untuk pencarian tesis ini, kasus yang ditentukan telah dipilih di mana teknologi ini belum diterapkan untuk memberikan manfaat ini untuk meningkatkan keadaan kompetitif mereka. Di galangan kapal (PT. Industri Kapal Indonesia), terdapat hal-hal yang menjadi perhatian terkait komunikasi dan penanganan data dalam proses pemesanan pasokan komponen dan peralatan, proses perencanaan bisnis, dan logistik dalam pemesanan dan pembelian galangan kapal. Perhatian utama yang membutuhkan perbaikan adalah masalah dalam logistik dan pembelian, terutama dari komunikasi yang teridentifikasi tidak memadai, terlalu banyak dokumen, dan masalah dalam kerja tim. Diperlukan sistem informasi yang transparan, digital, cepat, dan aman untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Mengambil contoh yang dipilih, tugas akhir ini bermaksud untuk berkontribusi pada penggunaan teknologi blockchain untuk logistik dan pembelian komponen dan peralatan dalam perbaikan kapal sampel dan rantai pasokan di Indonesia (PT. Industri Kapal Indonesia). Kedua kegiatan bisnis tersebut dipilih untuk menunjukkan potensi penggunaan dan peningkatan galangan kapal yang dipilih. Penulis tesis sarjana ini telah bekerja sama dengan staf galangan kapal yang dipilih untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk berkontribusi dalam memastikan dan mengoptimalkan proses rantai pasok di galangan kapal untuk material dan komponen dalam proses pemesanan. Keamanan rantai pasokan di seluruh proses pemesanan\pembelian rantai pasokan. Data yang akan diolah adalah data dari PT. Industri Kapal Indonesia, yaitu data yang tersedia di area penyimpanan dan penerimaan material.

Blockchain is a digital data storage system consisting of multiple networks and multiserver (Shalini Chandra, 2020). The blockchain system provides an advantage in the form of data transparency and data transfer speed and is also decentralized. The decentralization includes data processed on a server that can be verified and spread on other servers. Not only limited to cryptocurrencies, but blockchain systems also have advantages for recording data. Blockchain technology is already widely applied in different areas, and business fields in the marine sector, and this technology is expected to generate comprehensive benefits. However, for the seek of this thesis, a defined case has been chosen where this technology has not been applied yet to provide these benefits to improve their competitive state. At the shipyard (PT. Industri Kapal Indonesia), there are areas of concern regarding the communication and handling of data within the components and equipment supply ordering process, business planning process, and logistics in ordering and purchasing of the subject shipyard. The main concern requiring improvement are problems in logistics and purchasing, mainly from insufficient identified communication, too much paperwork, and issues in teamwork. A transparent, digital, fast, and secure information system is needed to overcome these problems. Taking the chosen example, this bachelor thesis intends to contribute to the use of blockchain technology for logistics and purchase of components and equipment in sample ship repair and supply chain in Indonesia (PT. Industri Kapal Indonesia). The two business activities have been selected to demonstrate the use and improvement potential for the selected shipyard. The author of this bachelor thesis has worked closely with the shipyard's selected staff to address these issues. Therefore, this paper aims to contribute to ensuring and optimizing the supply chain processes in the shipyard for material and components in the ordering process. Supply chain security throughout the entire supply chain ordering\purchasing processes. The data to be processed is data from PT. Industri Kapal Indonesia, namely data as available in the materials storage and receiving area.
