Abstract

Moodle merupakan kependekan dari Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, salah satu jenis platform learning management system berbasis website. Saat ini banyak kampus dan lembaga pendidikan menggunakan moodle sebagai media pengajaran maupun pembelajaran termasuk Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, yaitu aplikasi myITS Classroom. Dalam operasionalnya, isi dan aktivitas perkuliahan yang telah berlalu perlu untuk disimpan, tetapi seiring berjalannya waktu, volume data akan bertambah dan dapat memenuhi storage. Pada tugas akhir ini, penulis akan mencoba melakukan implementasi untuk melakukan sistem archival terhadap isi dan aktivitas perkuliahan yang telah berlalu untuk dipindahkan ke tempat lain agar dapat membantu mengurangi beban storage pada server myITS Classroom. Salah satu metode yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah menggunakan linux container berupa docker. Dimana course yang telah di archive akan dapat berjalan di dalam container. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa course yang telah di archive dapat ditempatkan di luar dari server myITS Classroom serta dapat berjalan pada multiplatform, yaitu pada sistem operasi Windows, Mac, maupun Linux.

Moodle is acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, a type of website-based learning management system platform. Currently, many campuses and educational institutions use Moodle as a medium of teaching and learning, including at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, namely the myITS Classroom application. In its operation, the contents and activities of lectures that have passed need to be stored, but over time, the volume of data will increase and can fill the storage.
In this final project, the author will try to implement an archival system for the contents and activities of lectures that have passed to be moved to another place to help reduce the storage load on the myITS Classroom server. One of the methods that can be used is to use a linux container in the form of docker. Where the archived course will be able to run in the container. The test results show that archived courses can be placed outside of the myITS Classroom server and can run on multiplatform, namely Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
