Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan umum yang tengah dihadapi manusia yaitu perubahan iklim yang semakin menahun semakin ekstrem. Kurangnya tingkat kesadaran masyarakat luas tentang perubahan iklim yang drastis ini juga menjadi permasalahan yang cukup krusial, karena menyebabkan minimnya pengetahuan tentang apa saja faktor yang menyebabkan perubahan iklim serta dampak yang dihasilkan dan bagaimana cara menanggulanginya. Maka dari itu, dibuatlah Simulasi Jelajah Perubahan Iklim Berbasis Virtual Reality sebagai salah satu solusi dari permasalahan tersebut.Simulasi Jelajah Perubahan Iklim Berbasis Virtual Reality adalah sebuah simulasi yang dibuat dengan menggunakan teknologi WebXR yang bertujuan untuk memberikan visualisasi, edukasi, serta pengalaman kepada pengguna, yaitu masyarakat umum, untuk mengetahui serta merasakan faktor dan dampak dari perubahan iklim drastis dan cara menanggulanginya. Pada simulasi ini, akan tampak suatu lingkungan dan pengguna dapat melihat perubahan kondisi lingkungan tersebut yang disebabkan oleh perubahan iklim. Pengguna juga dapat melihat informasi yang diberikan mengenai lingkungan tersebut setelah melihat dampak yang terjadi pada lingkungan yang dilihat. Pengguna juga dapat melihat contoh penanggulangan yang dapat dilakukan agar lingkungan dapat kembali seperti semula. Simulasi ini dapat diakses melalui web agar pengguna dapat mengakses simulasi ini tanpa harus menggunakan alat seperti headset VR.

One of the common problems that humans are currently facing is climate change, which is getting more and more extreme. The lack of public awareness about drastic climate change is also a crucial problem, because it causes a lack of knowledge about what are the factors that cause climate change, the impacts, and how to overcome them. Therefore, a Virtual Reality-Based Climate Change Explore Simulation was made as a solution to this problem. Virtual Reality-Based Climate Change Explore Simulation is a simulation created using WebXR technology which aims to provide visualization, education, and experience to users, namely general public, to know and feel the factors and impacts of drastic climate change and how to overcome them. In this simulation, an environment will appear and the user can see changes in environmental conditions caused by climate change. User can also view the information provided about the environment after seeing the impact on the environment being viewed. User can also see the examples of countermeasures that can be taken so that the environment can return to normal. This simulation can be accessed via web so that user can access this simulation without having to use tools such as VR headsets.
