Abstract

myITS Office adalah aplikasi manajemen surat di kampus Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengarsipkan surat masuk dan surat keluar yang berada pada lingkup kampus Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. Pada aplikasi mobile myITS Office yang telah dibuat sekarang, desain antarmuka pengguna serta desain pengalaman penggunanya masih cukup sulit untuk digunakan oleh mahasiswa, dosen, serta pihak administrasi kampus Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. Hal ini dikhawatirkan dapat menyebabkan penggunaan aplikasi myITS Office akan menyulitkan manajemen surat masuk dan surat keluar yang diatur dalam aplikasi myITS Office. Perancangan antarmuka dan pengalaman pengguna aplikasi mobile myITS Office yang baru akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan suatu metode yang disebut sebagai metode User-Centered Design (UCD). Metode UCD digunakan dengan berfokus pada pendapat pengguna dan kebutuhan pengguna di setiap fase proses desain. Hasil dari perancangan antarmuka dan pengalaman pengguna aplikasi mobile myITS Office dengan menggunakan metode UCD ini adalah untuk mempermudah pengguna dalam mengurus surat masuk dan surat keluar di aplikasi myITS Office. Selain itu, aplikasi mobile myITS Office diharapkan juga memiliki nilai usability serta tampilan dan fungsi secara maksimal.

myITS Office is a mail management application on the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember campus which has the aim of archiving incoming and outgoing mail within the scope of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember campus. In the myITS Office mobile application that has been created now, the user interface design and user experience design are still quite difficult to use by students, lecturers, and the administration of the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember campus. It is feared that the use of the myITS Office application will complicate the management of incoming and outgoing mail arranged in the myITS Office application. The interface design and user experience of the new myITS Office mobile application will be carried out using a method known as the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The UCD method is used by focusing on user opinions and user needs at every phase of the design process. The results of the interface design and user experience of the myITS Office mobile application using the UCD method are to make it easier for users to manage incoming and outgoing mail in the myITS Office application. In addition, the myITS Office mobile application is also expected to have maximum usability value and appearance and function.
