Abstract
Maraknya penggunaan smartphone membuat manusia memiliki rasa ketergantungan akan keberadaannya. Kebiasaan ini dapat menimbulkan dampak nomophobia, dimana pengguna akan merasa tidak nyaman atas ketidakhadiran smartphone dalam genggamannya. Penderita nomophobia gelisah ketika tidak dapat berkomunikasi dan merasakan ketakutan akan "terputusnya hubungan" dengan orang lain. Penelitian-penelitian yang menjelaskan bahaya nomophobia sudah dilakukan dan ditelusuri. Namun, penelitian yang menelusuri faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku nomophobia masih sangat terbatas, khususnya di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini mengadopsi model yang dikembangkan oleh Arpaci et al. (2017) menggunakan analisis Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) menggunakan variabel Attachment yang didasari oleh Attachment theory, mindfulness, dan nomophobia guna mencari tahu keterkaitan antara nomophobia dengan faktor intrapersonal, yaitu kecemasan dan pengelakan menggunakan mediasi mindfulness kepada remaja murid sekolah menengah atas.

The widespread use of smartphones makes humans have a sense of dependence on their smartphone's existence. This habit would cause nomophobia, which users feel a sense of discomfort in the absence of a smartphone in their hands. People with nomophobia are restless when they are unable to communicate and have a fear of "disconnection" with others. Studies that explain the dangers of nomophobia have been carried out and explored. However, research exploring the factors that influence nomophobia is still very limited, especially among adolescents. This study adopted the model developed by Arpaci et al. (2017) using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with Attachment variables based on Attachment theory, mindfulness, and nomophobia in attempt to discover the relationship between nomophobia and intrapersonal factors, namely anxiety and avoidance of using mindfulness mediation to adolescent high school students.
