Abstract

Financial technology (fintech) merupakan sebuah inovasi teknologi di sektor finansial yang telah berkembang pesat di Indonesia, termasuk di Kota Surabaya. Fintech memiliki peran penting bagi Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam memperluas jangkauan pasar dan mempermudah transaksi keuangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran fintech pada UMKM di Kota Surabaya dengan menggunakan teknik data mining. Metode clustering dengan algoritma K-Means digunakan untuk mengelompokkan UMKM berdasarkan penggunaan layanan fintech, yaitu payment dan market support. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan fintech dapat mempermudah UMKM dalam melakukan transaksi pembayaran, pencatatan keuangan, dan pemasaran produk secara luas. Selain itu, analisis terhadap 21 UMKM yang mengalami kenaikan omzet dalam rentang tahun 2016-2021 menunjukkan bahwa 12 UMKM di antaranya mengalami kenaikan omzet dengan persentase sebesar 36,21% setelah menggunakan fintech, sementara 9 UMKM lainnya tidak mengalami kenaikan omzet meskipun menggunakan fintech.

Financial technology (fintech) is a technological innovation in the financial sector that has developed rapidly in Indonesia, including in Surabaya City. Fintech has an important role for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in expanding market reach and facilitating financial transactions. This study aims to analyze the role of fintech in MSMEs in Surabaya City using data mining techniques. The clustering method with the K-Means algorithm is used to group MSMEs based on the use of fintech services, namely payment and market support. The results show that the use of fintech can make it easier for MSMEs to make payment transactions, financial recording, and product marketing extensively. In addition, an analysis of 21 MSMEs that experienced an increase in turnover in the 2016-2021 range shows that 12 of them experienced an increase in turnover with a percentage of 36.21% after using fintech, while 9 other MSMEs did not experience an increase in turnover even though they used fintech.
