Abstract

Semen merupakan bahan perekat bangunan yang dihasilkan dari klinker dan memiliki bahan utama berupa silikat kalsium serta tambahan gypsum. Gencarnya pembangunan infrastruktur membuat industri semen menjadi salah satu industri yang berperan penting bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Asosiasi Semen Indonesia (ASI) menyatakan terjadi penambahan konsumsi semen dalam negeri sebesar 5,5% pada tahun 2021 jika dibandingkan dengan periode sebelumnya. PT Semen Bosowa Banyuwangi merupakan salah satu produsen semen ternama di Indonesia yang memiliki kapasitas produksi semen sebesar 1,8 juta ton per tahun dan ditujukan untuk konsumen di Pulau Jawa, Bali, dan Nusa Tenggara. Persaingan di bidang indutri yang cukup ketat menyebabkan PT Semen Bosowa Banyuwangi terus menjaga dan meningkatkan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Pengendalian kualitas secara statistika merupakan suatu teknik yang digunakan untuk memantau, mengendalikan, dan meningkatkan kualitas produk atau proses. Pada proses produksi semen PCC sering terjadi ketidakstabilan pada karakteristik kualitas, sehingga diperlukan pengendalian kualitas secara multivariat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengendalikan kualitas produksi semen PCC menggunakan diagram kendali Maximum Half-Normal Multivariate Control Chart (Max-Half-Mchart). Diagram Max-Half-Mchart merupakan gabungan dari statistik rata-rata T2 Hotelling dan statistik variabilitas dengan pendekatan successive difference. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa blaine, residu, dan free lime. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diagram Max-Half-Mchart pada fase I telah terkendali secara statistik, sedangkan pada fase II terdapat pengamatan yang tidak terkendali yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan karakteristik bahan baku. Hasil analisis kapabilitas proses produksi semen PCC diperoleh nilai MCpk sebesar 1,053, yang menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi sudah kapabel dan sesuai dengan spesifikasi perusahaan.

Cement is a building adhesive material produced from clinker and has main ingredients in the form of calcium silicate and additional gypsum. The intensity of infrastructure development makes the cement industry one of the industries that play an important role in the Indonesian economy. The Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) stated that there was an increase in domestic cement consumption by 5.5% in 2021 compared to the previous period. PT Semen Bosowa Banyuwangi is one of the well-known cement producers in Indonesia which has a cement production capacity of 1.8 million tons per year and is intended for consumers in Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara. The fierce competition in the industry causes PT Semen Bosowa Banyuwangi to continue to maintain and improve the quality of the products produced. Statistical quality control is a technique used to monitor, control, and improve product or process quality. In the PCC cement production process, instability often occurs in quality characteristics, so multivariate quality control is needed. This study aims to control the quality of PCC cement production using the Maximum Half-Normal Multivariate Control Chart (Max-Half-Mchart). The Max-Half-Mchart diagram is a combination of the T2 Hotelling average statistic and variability statistics using the successive difference approach. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of blaine, residue, and free lime. The results showed that the Max-Half-Mchart diagram in phase I was statistically controlled, while in phase II there were uncontrolled observations caused by differences in raw material characteristics. The results of the PCC cement production process capability analysis obtained an MCpk value of 1.053, which indicates that the production process is capable and in accordance with company specifications.
