Abstract

Penutupan ruang terbuka hijau menjadi langkah preventif untuk menghindarkan penyebaran penyakit saat pandemi. Surabaya sendiri saat ini diklaim memiliki lebih dari 1.900 taman turut menutup seluruh akses ke taman saat pandemi Covid-19. Namun, penutupan tersebut nyatanya tidak berdampak pada penurunan kasus harian di Surabaya. Penutupan taman justru akan beresiko meningkatkan penyebaran penyakit karena kurangnya ruang untuk menjaga jarak. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana seharusnya pengelolaan ruang terbuka hijau di masa pandemi. Sumber data berasal dari artikel berita yang dihimpun dari media digital. Content Analysis dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai ide pengelolaan ruang terbuka hijau selama masa pandemi untuk kemudian dilakukan analisis Literature Review dalam menentukan relevansi ide tersebut terhadap pengurangan risiko penyebaran penyakit. Hasil penelitian ini berupa pengelolaan ruang terbuka hijau berdasarkan tipologi taman yang ada di Surabaya. Sebanyak 40 ide pengelolaan dianggap relevan dalam mengurangi resiko penularan penyakit saat pandemi untuk diimplementasikan pada 6 tipologi berbeda ruang terbuka hijau di Surabaya.

Closing a green open space is a preventive step to prevent the spread of disease during the pandemic. Surabaya, which had more than 1,900 parks, closed all access to the parks during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it did not impact the decrease in daily cases in Surabaya. Closing the park would increase the risk of spreading disease because of the lack of space to keep a distance. The study was conducted to determine how green open spaces management should be during a pandemic. The data source was from news articles compiled from digital media. Content analysis was conducted to identify various ideas for managing green open spaces during the pandemic. Then, a literature review analysis was carried out to determine the relevance of these ideas in reducing the risk of spreading disease. The results of this study were green open space management based on the typology of parks in Surabaya. Forty management ideas were considered relevant in reducing the risk of disease transmission during the pandemic to be implemented in 6 different typologies of green open spaces in Surabaya.
