Abstract

The northern coastal area of Surabaya is vulnerable to tidal flooding due to rising sea levels and land subsidence. This study aims to analyze vertical deformation using the PS-InSAR method and to model tidal flood inundation using the Bathtub Model (BTM) and the Enhanced Bathtub Model (eBTM) with the addition of a Sea Level Rise (SLR) parameter. The data used include Sentinel-1 SLC imagery from 2020-2023, DEMNAS, BIG tide gauge data from the Surabaya Station (SRBY), and regional SLR data from NOAA. The research results show that vertical deformation ranges from -0,919 mm/year to 40,201 mm/year, with a dominant subsidence pattern in the northern and eastern coastal areas of Surabaya. Regional SLR values of 79,446 mm further increase the potential for tidal flooding. Modeling results show that the flooded area using the BTM method ranges from 10141,52 ha to 10402,85 ha, while the eBTM method ranges from 1285,16 ha to 1308,76 ha. The addition of SLR and land deformation parameters increases the inundation area across all scenarios. However, the eBTM method produces a more realistic inundation distribution because it accounts for hydrological connectivity
