Abstract

Budaya lokal kini mulai tergerus oleh hal yang berbau modern, seperti game dan animasi yang diadaptasi dari luar negeri. Tidak sedikit anak-anak yang sama sekali tidak mengenal budaya tradisi lokal daerahnya. Gresik merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki banyak kebudayaan lokal yang dilakukan secara turun temurun. Kebudayaan lokal seperti Rabu Wekasan, Pencak Macan, dan Tradisi Kolak Ayam mulai jarang diketahui oleh anak-anak. Tradisi tersebut harus dikenalkan kepada anak-anak karena budaya daerah mengajarkan identitas diri dan daerahnya. Maka diperlukan adanya upaya pengenalan tradisi budaya kepada anak sejak dini, karena apabila budaya lokal tersebut tidak dikenalkan dapat berdampak pada potensi pengetahuan anak-anak terhadap nilai tradisi kebudayaan lokal menjadi hilang. Pada perancangan ini digunakan beberapa metode yaitu, depth interview, studi eksperimental, studi literatur terhadap jurnal, internet, dan post test. Hasil dari perancangan ini berupa buku ilustrasi dengan konsep yang dikuatkan pada gambar dan konten dengan tujuan untuk memudahkan audiens mengikuti perjalanan konten yang terdapat di dalam buku. Melalui buku ilustrasi ini diharapkan menjadi media pengenalan terkait tradisi budaya khas Gresik bagi masyarakat khususnya oleh anak-anak.

Local culture is now starting to be eroded by things that smell modern, such as games and animations adapted from abroad. Not a few children who do not know the local traditional culture of the area. Gresik is an area that has a lot of local culture that has been passed down from generation to generation. Local culture such as Wednesday Wekasan, Pencak Macan, and the Kolak Ayam Tradition are rarely known by children. This tradition must be introduced to children because regional culture teaches self and regional identity. So it is necessary to introduce cultural traditions to children from an early age, because if the local culture is not introduced it can have an impact on the potential for children's knowledge of the value of local cultural traditions to be lost. In this design, several methods are used, namely, depth interviews, experimental studies, literature studies on journals, the internet, and post tests. The result of this design is an illustrated book with concepts that are reinforced in images and content with the aim of making it easier for the audience to follow the journey of the content contained in the book. Through this illustration book, it is hoped that it will become a medium for introducing Gresik's cultural traditions to the community, especially children.
