Abstract

Magang industri merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi pembelajaran berbasis praktik yang bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa melalui keterlibatan langsung dalam dunia kerja. Kegiatan magang ini dilaksanakan di PT Industrial Robotic Automation pada Divisi Research and Development (R&D) Mechanic selama periode Januari–Juli 2025. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengimplementasikan Autodesk Inventor dalam proses perancangan produk otomasi serta mengoptimalkan proses desain dan dokumentasi teknik melalui integrasi fitur iLogic. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, pengambilan data, pemodelan tiga dimensi, simulasi teknik menggunakan Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), penyusunan gambar kerja sesuai standar industri, serta pengembangan skrip iLogic untuk mengotomatisasi proses dokumentasi. Selama pelaksanaan magang, penulis terlibat dalam berbagai proyek perancangan komponen conveyor, case sealer, rail shuttle, frame conveyor, actual product drawing (APD), perencanaan layout pengemasan, analisis statik menggunakan Autodesk Inventor, serta pembuatan drawing manufaktur. Implementasi iLogic berhasil mempercepat proses konversi dokumen desain menjadi format DXF dan PDF secara otomatis sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi kerja, mengurangi kesalahan manual, serta menghasilkan dokumentasi yang lebih konsisten. Selain meningkatkan kemampuan teknis dalam bidang CAD, CAE, drafting, dan otomasi desain, kegiatan magang ini juga memberikan pengalaman profesional dalam bekerja secara kolaboratif sesuai standar industri manufaktur otomasi. Hasil magang menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Autodesk Inventor dan iLogic mampu meningkatkan produktivitas proses desain, simulasi, dan dokumentasi teknik sehingga mendukung pengembangan produk industri otomasi secara lebih efektif dan efisien.

Industrial internship is a form of practice-based learning aimed at improving students' competencies through direct involvement in industrial activities. This internship was conducted at PT Industrial Robotic Automation in the Research and Development (R&D) Mechanic Division from January to July 2025. The internship focused on implementing Autodesk Inventor in industrial product design and optimizing engineering design and documentation through the integration of the iLogic feature. The methods employed included literature review, field observation, data collection, three-dimensional modeling, Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation, preparation of engineering drawings based on industrial standards, and the development of iLogic scripts to automate documentation processes. During the internship, the author participated in various engineering projects, including conveyor component design, case sealer development, rail shuttle design, conveyor frame modeling, Actual Product Drawing (APD), packaging layout planning, static structural analysis using Autodesk Inventor, and manufacturing drawing preparation. The implementation of iLogic successfully automated the conversion of engineering documents into DXF and PDF formats, resulting in improved workflow efficiency, reduced manual errors, and more consistent technical documentation. Besides enhancing technical competencies in CAD, CAE, engineering drafting, and design automation, the internship also provided valuable professional experience in collaborative engineering practices within an industrial automation environment. The internship results demonstrate that the integration of Autodesk Inventor and iLogic significantly improves the efficiency and productivity of engineering design, simulation, and technical documentation processes, thereby supporting more effective industrial product development.
