Abstract
Laporan magang industri ini menganalisis perhitungan headloss pada instalasi pipa produk FAME di Tanki 63 PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (Integrated Terminal Surabaya) dengan melakukan perbandingan antara kondisi aktual dan variasi diameter pipa sebesar 16 inci. Evaluasi dilakukan pada jalur pipa sepanjang 350,4 meter dengan debit fluida konstan sebesar 0,056m^3/s menggunakan pendekatan teoretis mekanika fluida. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan penurunan rugi aliran yang sangat signifikan pada penggunaan diameter pipa 16 inci, di mana nilai headloss mayor berkurang dari 0,7687 meter menjadi 0,1814 meter, dan headloss minor terpangkas dari 2,5071 meter menjadi 0,1413 meter. Secara keseluruhan, variasi pipa 16 inci berhasil menekan headloss total dari semula 3,2759 meter pada kondisi aktual menjadi hanya 0,3230 meter. Dengan demikian, implementasi diameter pipa 16 inci direkomendasikan karena terbukti mengoptimalkan efisiensi hidraulik, menghemat energi, serta mampu memperpanjang umur teknis operasional pompa.

This industrial internship report analyzes head loss calculations in the FAME product pipeline system at Tank 63 of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (Surabaya Integrated Terminal) by comparing actual conditions with a 16-inch variation in pipe diameter. The evaluation was conducted on a 350.4-meter-long pipeline section with a constant fluid flow rate of 0.056m^3/s using a theoretical fluid mechanics approach. The calculation results show a very significant reduction in flow losses when using a 16-inch pipe diameter, with the major head loss decreasing from 0.7687 meters to 0.1814 meters, and the minor head loss reduced from 2.5071 meters to 0.1413 meters. Overall, the 16-inch pipe successfully reduced the total head loss from the original 3.2759 meters under actual conditions to just 0.3230 meters. Therefore, the use of a 16-inch pipe diameter is recommended as it has been proven to optimize hydraulic efficiency, save energy, and extend the pump’s operational lifespan.
