Abstract
Dalam perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat, permintaan energi akan semakin meningkat. Sesuai dengan Outlook kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia terbesar didominasi skala industri dan rumah tangga akan meningkat seiring dengan berjalanya waktu. Target pemerintah jika pada 2025, energi terbarukan akan mencapai 23 persen, dan pada 2050 akan menembus 31 persen dalam memberikan sumbangan bagi energi nasional. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan energi terbaharukan seperti angin, PV menjadi hal yang perlu dipertimbangkan. Disamping itu, perlu diperhatikan dalam masalah lain adalah penggunaan energy storage system. Penggunakan media penyimpanan energi tepat dapat membantu dalam mengatasi masalah seperti sifat intermitensi dari renewable energy hingga masalah fluktuasi daya dalam penyaluran. Hybrid energy storage systems (HESS) melibatkan dua atau lebih storage dengan komplementer karakteristik charge/ discharge listrik untuk menyediakan kebutuhan energi dan daya beban. Menggunakan dua jenis media penyimpanan Flywheel Energy storage (FES) dan Baterai Energy storage (BES) akan dikombinasikan untuk media penyimpanan dalam membantu penyediaan daya yang bersifat intermittent dan akan membantu memasok daya pada frekuensi regulasi yang baik ketika dibutuhkan pada waktu tertentu. Penjadwalan optimal HESS untuk renewable energy system yang bersumber dari PV dan wind turbine akan dilakukan menggunakan nonlinear Programming. Pada metode ini akan melakukan penjadwalan berdasarkan total project cost dan operational & maintenance cost dari setiap media penyimpan energi.\

Technological developments have implications for increasing energy needs. In accordance with the Outlook, the largest demand for electrical energy in Indonesia is dominated by industrial and household scales, which will increase over time. The government's target is that by 2025, renewable energy will reach 23 percent, and in 2050 it will penetrate 31 percent in contributing to national energy. Therefore, the use of renewable energy such as wind, PV is something that needs to be considered. In addition, another problem needs to be considered is the use of energy storage systems. The use of appropriate energy storage media can help in overcoming problems such as the intermittent nature of renewable energy to the problem of power fluctuations in distribution. Hybrid energy storage systems (HESS) involve two or more storages with complementary electrical charge/ discharge characteristics to provide the required energy and load power. Using two types of storage media Flywheel Energy storage (FES) and batteries will be combined for storage media to help provide intermittent power and will help supply power at a well-regulated frequency when needed at a certain time. The optimal scheduling of HESS for renewable energy systems sourced from PV and wind turbines will be carried out using Nonlinear Programming. This method will perform scheduling based on the total project cost and operational & maintenance costs of each type of energy storage system.
