Abstract

Kegiatan magang industri di PT. Cirebon Power Services Unit 1 bertujuan untuk menganalisis perawatan Coal Feeder menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Coal Feeder merupakan komponen penting pada PLTU yang berfungsi mengatur suplai batubara menuju pulverizer sehingga kestabilan proses pembakaran tetap terjaga. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, pengumpulan data, dan analisis nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) berdasarkan parameter Severity, Occurrence, dan Detection. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa belt conveyor, pulley, dan motor coupling memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi sehingga menjadi prioritas dalam pelaksanaan preventive maintenance. Penerapan metode FMEA mampu membantu mengidentifikasi potensi kegagalan secara sistematis, menentukan prioritas perawatan, serta meningkatkan keandalan Coal Feeder sehingga mendukung kontinuitas operasi dan efisiensi pembangkitan listrik.

This industrial internship at PT. Cirebon Power Services Unit 1 aimed to analyze Coal Feeder maintenance using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The Coal Feeder is a critical component in a coal-fired steam power plant that regulates the coal supply to the pulverizer to maintain stable combustion. The study employed literature review, field observation, data collection, and Risk Priority Number (RPN) analysis based on Severity, Occurrence, and Detection parameters. The results indicate that the belt conveyor, pulley, and motor coupling have the highest RPN values, making them the top priorities for preventive maintenance. The implementation of FMEA effectively identifies potential failure modes, establishes maintenance priorities, and improves Coal Feeder reliability, thereby supporting continuous plant operation and enhancing power generation efficiency.
