Abstract

Program magang merupakan salah satu kegiatan akademik yang memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk menerapkan pengetahuan yang diperoleh selama perkuliahan ke dalam lingkungan industri. Kegiatan magang ini dilaksanakan di PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk – Divisi Bogasari Flour Mills, khususnya pada bagian Maintenance Area Mill. Salah satu peralatan yang menjadi fokus pemeliharaan adalah screw conveyor, yang berfungsi sebagai media pemindahan material dalam proses produksi. Kerusakan pada screw conveyor dapat menyebabkan downtime sehingga mengganggu kelancaran proses produksi. Untuk meminimalkan downtime, diperlukan penerapan Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Preventive Maintenance yang dilaksanakan secara terencana dan berkala. Kegiatan preventive maintenance bertujuan mendeteksi potensi kerusakan sejak dini, memperpanjang umur pakai komponen, serta menjaga keandalan peralatan. Pada tugas ini dilakukan analisis terhadap penerapan SOP preventive maintenance pada screw conveyor, meliputi tahapan pelaksanaan, kendala yang dihadapi, serta efektivitasnya dalam mendukung keandalan sistem. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SOP preventive maintenance secara konsisten mampu meningkatkan keandalan screw conveyor dan berpotensi mengurangi frekuensi downtime. Rekomendasi yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam penyempurnaan sistem pemeliharaan sehingga efisiensi operasional dan kontinuitas proses produksi di PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk – Divisi Bogasari Flour Mills dapat terus ditingkatkan.

The internship program is an academic activity designed to provide students with practical experience in an industrial environment while enabling them to apply the knowledge acquired during their studies. This internship was conducted at PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk – Bogasari Flour Mills Division, specifically in the Mill Area Maintenance Department. One of the primary pieces of equipment maintained during the internship was the screw conveyor, which plays a vital role in transporting raw materials throughout the production process. Failures of the screw conveyor can lead to equipment downtime, thereby disrupting production efficiency and operational continuity. To minimize downtime, the implementation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Preventive Maintenance is essential. Preventive maintenance aims to identify potential failures at an early stage, extend the service life of equipment components, and ensure the reliable operation of the screw conveyor. This study analyzes the implementation of the preventive maintenance SOP, including maintenance procedures, challenges encountered during execution, and its effectiveness in improving system reliability. The results indicate that the consistent implementation of the preventive maintenance SOP improves the reliability of the screw conveyor and has the potential to reduce the frequency of downtime. The findings are expected to serve as recommendations for improving the maintenance system, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring the continuity of the production process at PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk – Bogasari Flour Mills Division.
