Abstract

Program Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) merupakan program pertukaran mahasiswa yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains, dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar internasional kepada mahasiswa Indonesia. Melalui program ini, penulis melaksanakan studi selama satu semester di Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. Selama mengikuti program, penulis mengambil berbagai mata kuliah, antara lain Introduction to Solar Energy Technology, Object-Oriented Programming, Mobile Communications, Contemporary Culture, Elementary Mandarin, serta Special Project yang berfokus pada pengembangan sistem pengenalan citra. Selain kegiatan akademik, penulis juga mengikuti berbagai aktivitas budaya, pengembangan bahasa, dan interaksi lintas budaya yang memperkaya wawasan global serta meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi dalam lingkungan internasional. Program ini memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran berbasis praktik melalui presentasi, proyek kelompok, kunjungan lapangan, serta penerapan teknologi secara langsung, khususnya pada bidang energi terbarukan dan rekayasa perangkat lunak. Secara keseluruhan, partisipasi dalam IISMA memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan kompetensi akademik, kemampuan berpikir kritis, kerja sama tim, adaptasi lintas budaya, dan kesiapan menghadapi tantangan global di dunia profesional

The Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) is a student exchange program organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to provide Indonesian students with international learning experiences. Through this program, the author studied for one semester at Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. During the exchange period, the author enrolled in several courses, including Introduction to Solar Energy Technology, Object-Oriented Programming, Mobile Communications, Contemporary Culture, Elementary Mandarin, and a Special Project focusing on the development of an image recognition system. In addition to academic activities, the author participated in various cultural, language, and intercultural engagement programs that broadened global perspectives and enhanced communication skills in an international environment. The program emphasized experiential learning through presentations, collaborative projects, field visits, and practical applications of technology, particularly in renewable energy and software engineering. Overall, participation in the IISMA program significantly contributed to the author's academic development, critical thinking, teamwork, cross-cultural adaptability, and readiness to face challenges in a global professional environment.
