Abstract

This Internship was conducted within the development project of a logging, monitoring, and observability system for the FOSIL (Foster Management System) platform owned by UNIO Indonesia Maju. The project is driven by the need for a more structured, centralized application monitoring mechanism that is capable of detecting disruptions rapidly to ensure the reliable operation of donor data, foster children data, and donation transactions. The objective of this internship is to design and implement an observability solution that encompasses structured logging, application metrics measurement, monitoring dashboards, audit trails, and incident notifications. The methods utilized include requirements analysis, literature review, system design, implementation, and functional testing of the built components. The implementation results demonstrate that the system successfully provides JSON-based logging, panic recovery middleware, Prometheus metrics, observability integration via Loki, Grafana, and Prometheus, as well as audit log mechanisms and automated notifications for critical events. With this implementation, the application monitoring process becomes more measurable, troubleshooting is accelerated, and system reliability is enhanced. In conclusion, the developed observability solution effectively supports the operational needs of FOSIL and serves as a vital foundation for stable, transparent, and easily evaluable system management.
