Abstract
Kawasan tambang batubara di Kecamatan Sanggata, Kalimantan Timur, membutuhkan jaringan komunikasi yang andal untuk mendukung kegiatan operasional, pengawasan, dan keselamatan kerja, namun kondisi wilayah yang luas dan relatif terpencil menyebabkan jaringan publik belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan merencanakan jaringan Private-5G pada kawasan tambang dengan menggunakan model propagasi Rural Macro Non-Line of Sight (RMa NLOS) berdasarkan standar 3GPP TR 38.901 pada frekuensi 1500 MHz. Metode penelitian meliputi studi literatur, pengumpulan data wilayah, perencanaan cakupan dan kapasitas, serta simulasi menggunakan Radio Planner 3.0 pada bandwidth 20 MHz dan 40 MHz. Hasil perencanaan menunjukkan kebutuhan 66 BTS dengan jangkauan sekitar 1,44 km per site. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa bandwidth 20 MHz menghasilkan rata-rata RSRP -77,27 dBm dan throughput downlink 67,5 Mbps, sedangkan bandwidth 40 MHz menghasilkan rata-rata RSRP -80,45 dBm dan throughput downlink 143,3 Mbps. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, jaringan Private-5G dinilai layak diterapkan pada kawasan tambang Sanggata, dengan konfigurasi 20 MHz sebagai rekomendasi utama karena memberikan performansi yang lebih sesuai terhadap kebutuhan area penelitian.

The coal mining area in Sanggata District, East Kalimantan, requires a reliable communication network to support operational activities, area monitoring, and occupational safety. However, the vast and relatively remote geographical conditions make public networks unable to fully meet these requirements optimally. This study aims to design a Private 5G network for the mining area by applying the Rural Macro Non-Line of Sight (RMa NLOS) propagation model based on the 3GPP TR 38.901 standard at a frequency of 1500 MHz. The research method includes literature review, area data collection, coverage and capacity planning, and simulation using Radio Planner 3.0 under two bandwidth scenarios, namely 20 MHz and 40 MHz. The planning results indicate that 66 BTS sites are required, with a coverage radius of approximately 1.44 km per site. The simulation results show that the 20 MHz bandwidth produces an average RSRP of -77.27 dBm and a downlink throughput of 67.5 Mbps, while the 40 MHz bandwidth produces an average RSRP of -80.45 dBm and a downlink throughput of 143.3 Mbps. Based on these results, the Private 5G network is considered feasible for implementation in the Sanggata coal mining area, with the 20 MHz configuration recommended as the main option because it provides performance that is more suitable for the requirements of the study area.
