Abstract
Penggunaan energi listrik nasional terus meningkat setiap tahunnya, menuntut keandalan dan kesiapan operasional dari pembangkit listrik seperti PLTU PT. Cirebon Power Services Unit 1x660 MW. Salah satu komponen krusial dalam sistem boiler adalah soot blower type long yang berfungsi untuk membersihkan kerak abu pada pipa-pipa boiler guna menjaga efisiensi transfer panas. Kegagalan pada soot blower dapat menurunkan performa siklus Rankine dan menyebabkan kehilangan energi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis mode kegagalan dan merencanakan pemeliharaan pada komponen soot blower type long dengan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan teknisi ahli, dan studi literatur, diperoleh nilai Severity (S), Occurrence (O), dan Detection (D) untuk delapan komponen utama: carriage, gland packing, beam, poppet valve, wallbox, feed tube, lance tube, dan nozzle. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan total Risk Priority Number (RPN) sebesar 1300 dengan batas RPN Kritis sebesar 162,5. Komponen kritis yang diidentifikasi meliputi Carriage (RPN = 240) dan Nozzle (RPN = 192) yang direkomendasikan untuk tindakan corrective maintenance, serta Feed Tube (RPN = 175) dan Lance Tube (RPN = 168) yang direkomendasikan untuk tindakan preventive maintenance. Implementasi perencanaan perawatan preventif terjadwal secara bulanan terbukti efektif dalam meminimalkan frekuensi kegagalan, mengurangi waktu henti terencana (downtime), dan memperpanjang umur pakai peralatan.

The demand for national electrical energy continues to increase annually, requiring high reliability and operational readiness from power plants such as the coal-fired power plant (PLTU) of PT. Cirebon Power Services Unit 1x660 MW. A crucial component in the boiler system is the long-type soot blower, which functions to clean ash deposits on boiler tubes to maintain heat transfer efficiency. Failures in the soot blower can degrade the performance of the Rankine cycle and cause energy losses. This study aims to analyze failure modes and plan maintenance for long-type soot blower components using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. Through field observations, interviews with expert technicians, and literature studies, the values for Severity (S), Occurrence (O), and Detection (D) were determined for eight main components: carriage, gland packing, beam, poppet valve, wallbox, feed tube, lance tube, and nozzle. The calculation results yielded a total Risk Priority Number (RPN) of 1300 with a critical RPN threshold of 162.5. The critical components identified include the Carriage (RPN = 240) and Nozzle (RPN = 192), which are recommended for corrective maintenance, as well as the Feed Tube (RPN = 175) and Lance Tube (RPN = 168), recommended for preventive maintenance. The implementation of scheduled monthly preventive maintenance planning is proven effective in minimizing failure frequencies, reducing planned downtime, and extending the service life of the equipment.
