Abstract

Laporan magang ini disusun berdasarkan pelaksanaan Magang Mandiri di PT Cirebon Power Services, perusahaan yang mengoperasikan dan memelihara PLTU Cirebon Unit 1 berkapasitas 1 × 660 MW. Selama kegiatan magang, dilakukan pengamatan terhadap proses pembangkitan listrik, sistem Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Water and Steam Cycle, pengendalian kualitas bahan baku, serta penerapan keselamatan kerja di lingkungan industri. Selain itu, dilakukan analisis teknik berupa penyusunan process flow diagram, piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), studi HAZOP, neraca massa, dan neraca energi pada sistem pre-heating. Tugas khusus berfokus pada evaluasi efektivitas Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) dalam menurunkan konsentrasi amonia, COD, dan TSS melalui variasi kondisi aerasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pengoperasian aerasi pada kedua unit STP memberikan kinerja pengolahan terbaik, meskipun konsentrasi amonia pada efluen masih memerlukan optimasi agar memenuhi baku mutu yang berlaku.

This internship report was prepared based on an independent internship conducted at PT Cirebon Power Services, the operator and maintenance provider of the 1 × 660 MW Cirebon Coal-Fired Power Plant. The internship involved observing the power generation process, the Water Treatment Plant (WTP), the water and steam cycle, raw material quality control, and the implementation of occupational health and safety practices. Technical analyses were also performed, including the development of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), HAZOP studies, and mass and energy balances for the preheating system. The special project focused on evaluating the performance of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in reducing ammonia, COD, and TSS concentrations under different aeration conditions. The results indicated that operating aeration in both STP units achieved the highest treatment efficiency, although further optimization is required to ensure ammonia concentrations in the effluent comply with environmental discharge standards.
