Abstract
=================================================================================================================================
CPP Senoro processes approximately 367 MMSCFD of raw natural feed gas from three production clusters to produce a main product of 317 MMSCFD of sweet gas distributed to domestic buyers, a byproduct of 9,000 barrels of condensate per day, and the conversion of toxic H₂S waste gas into commercial-grade sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) with 98% purity. The evaluation covered core processing units, including the Acid Gas Removal Unit (AGRU) utilizing an activated Methyl Diethanol Amine (aMDEA) solvent absorption system, the Dehydration Unit (DHU) using Triethylene Glycol (TEG), the Dew Point Control Unit (DPCU), and the Condensate Stabilizer Unit (CSU). To fulfill the specific internship task requirements, the project involved constructing the Process Block Diagram (PBD), Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID), and conducting a process safety assessment using the Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) Study method. Furthermore, precise mass and energy balance calculations were performed across the main process streams. The outcomes successfully bridged the practical skills gap, provided a comprehensive understanding of field-scale chemical engineering unit operations, and offered troubleshooting evaluation recommendations for the company's operational efficiency.
