Abstract

Penelitian magang industri ini menganalisis dampak optimalisasi kecepatan belt conveyor 210-CV-003 dari 2 m/s menjadi 2,25 m/s terhadap kapasitas angkut, kinerja komponen mekanis, dan implikasi biaya logistik (despatch-demurrage) di PT Smelting. Menggunakan pendekatan matematis standar CEMA dan verifikasi lapangan, hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kecepatan mampu menaikkan kapasitas angkut konsentrat tembaga dari 600 T/H menjadi 675 T/H serta memangkas waktu transfer material dari 16,12 menit menjadi 14 menit. Untuk mengimbangi beban kerja dan mencegah motor trip, direkomendasikan pembaruan motor penggerak menjadi 220 kW (2 x 110 kW), sabuk konveyor menjadi tipe ST1250 (safety factor 7,55), dan penerapan batas kritis penggantian sabuk pada ketebalan 10 mm. Dari aspek logistik maritim, efisiensi waktu bongkar muat kapal (M/V Lumoso Sahabat) yang turun menjadi 5,06 hari berhasil meningkatkan keuntungan despatch perusahaan dari USD 2.100 (Rp 35,7 juta) menjadi USD 3.050 (Rp 51,85 juta).

This industrial internship report analyzes the impact of optimizing the speed of belt conveyor 210-CV-003 from 2 m/s to 2.25 m/s on transport capacity, mechanical performance, and maritime logistics costs (despatch-demurrage) at PT Smelting. Using CEMA standard mathematical calculations and field verification, the study demonstrates that the speed increase boosts transport capacity from 600 T/H to 675 T/H and reduces material transfer time from 16.12 minutes to 14 minutes. To accommodate the heavier load and prevent motor tripping, upgrading the drive motor to 220 kW (2 x 110 kW) and the belt to ST1250 (safety factor 7.55) is recommended, alongside a 10 mm critical thickness replacement threshold. Logistically, the shortened vessel unloading time of 5.06 days successfully increased the company's despatch reward from USD 2,100 (IDR 35.7 million) to USD 3,050 (IDR 51.85 million).
