Abstract

Becak adalah alat transportasi umum yang sering digunakan untuk berbelanja dan bepergian, seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi yang makin berkembang maka masyarakat membutuhkan alat transportasi becak dengan mobilitas yang tinggi serta menghemat waktu tempuh Permasalahan yang timbul untuk mengembangkan atau mendesain becak bermotor adalah bagaimana sistem transmisi yang digunakan serta berapa besar daya motor penggerak yang dibutuhkan. Dari hasil perhitungan didapat daya motor minimal yang dibutuhkan adalah 5,35 hp. serta sistim transmisi dipakai ada 2 yaitu menggunakan belt dan rantai dengan kecepatan maksimal 40 km/jam

Pedicab is general transportation which use for leave and expenditure, a long with technology development people need pedicab transportation with high mobility and thrift in time. The problem to develop or design motorize pedicab is how transmision system apply and how much motor energy needed. From calculation result know minimum motor energy needed is 5,35 hp and use two transmision system, there are belt and chain with maximum velocity 40 km/hour.
