Abstract
Penggunaan perangkat pada bagian kendaraan bermotor yang terus mengalami perkembangan dari waktu ke waktu, menuntut adanya inovasi terutama dalam proses pengapian. Hasil penelitian terhadap CDI sepeda motor yang telah ada di pasaran, menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik berbagai CDI sepeda motor ternyata masih menggunakan single spark, sehingga lama dan panjang spark sangat menentukan kesempurnaan pembakaran. Dari kajian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa single spark saja belum dapat membakar seluruh bahan bakar pada silinder sepeda motor. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan perancangan suatu alat CDI sepeda motor dengan teknologi baru yaitu CDI Multi-Spark yang diharapkan dapat mengeluarkan percikan api pada busi secara berurutan sehingga jika pembakaran belum sempurna pada percikan api pertama maka akan disempurnakan pada percikan api berikutnya. Sehingga teknologi ini dapat lebih menjamin terjadinya pembakaran yang lebih sempurna, menghemat pemakaian bahan bakar dan memperbaiki kualitas emisi gas buang sehingga lebih ramah lingkungan.

Usage of peripheral at part of motor vehicle which continue to experience of growth from time to time, claiming the existence of innovation especially in course of ignition. Result of research to CDI motorcycle which have in marketing, indicating that characteristic various CDI motorcycle in the reality still use single spark, so that long and of spark very is determining of perfection of combustion. Of the study concluded that just single spark not yet earned to burn all fuel at motorcycle cylinder. In this final project conducted by scheme an appliance of CDI motorcycle with new technology that is expected CDI Multi-Spark can release sprinkling of fire at spark plug alternately so that if combustion in rough at sprinkling of first fire hence will be completed at sprinkling of next fire. Technological so that this earn more guarantying the happening of more perfect combustion, economizing usage of fuel and improve; repair the quality of gas emission throw away friendlier so that environment.
