Abstract

Air minum merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia yang berperan penting dalam menjaga kelangsungan hidup dan kesehatan masyarakat. Ketersediaan air minum yang aman dan layak menjadi faktor utama dalam pencegahan penyakit serta peningkatan kualitas hidup. Air minum yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan berpotensi menjadi media penyebaran penyakit dan membahayakan kesehatan. Salah satu upaya penting dalam pengolahan air minum adalah proses disinfeksi, khususnya melalui metode klorinasi yang bertujuan untuk membunuh mikroorganisme patogen. Klorinasi menghasilkan sisa klor yang berfungsi sebagai perlindungan lanjutan selama proses distribusi air minum. Namun, kadar sisa klor harus memenuhi baku mutu yang ditetapkan agar tetap efektif dan aman. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian kualitas air di IPAM Plosowahyu Kecamatan Lamongan, diketahui bahwa konsentrasi sisa klor bebas pada outlet reservoir masih berada pada standar yang ditetapkan, sehingga berpotensi akan habis pada jarak tertentu dan menurunkan kualitas air selama distribusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persebaran konsentrasi sisa klor pada jaringan distribusi air minum di Kecamatan Lamongan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pengambilan sampel air pada beberapa titik jaringan distribusi dengan jarak yang bervariasi dari reservoir. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi konsentrasi sisa klor bebas, pH, dan suhu air, yang diketahui berpengaruh terhadap efektivitas dan peluruhan sisa klor. Data hasil pengujian kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengetahui pola penurunan sisa klor selama proses distribusi serta keterkaitannya dengan faktor lingkungan dan jarak distribusi. Hasil persebaran sisa klor menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar wilayah zona pelayanan Kecamatan Lamongan memiliki kadar sisa klor di bawah batas minimum baku mutu Permenkes No. 2 Tahun 2023 sebesar 0,2-0,5 mg/L. Kadar sisa klor tertinggi berada di sekitar area IPAM dengan nilai berkisar 0,22 mg/L, sedangkan wilayah bagian selatan zona pelayanan menunjukkan kondisi paling kritis dengan kadar sisa klor mendekati 0,01 mg/L atau bahkan nol, yang mengindikasikan bahwa klor telah habis bereaksi sebelum mencapai titik-titik ujung jaringan distribusi. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi Pearson, hubungan antara suhu dan sisa klor memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,223 (> 0,05) dengan koefisien korelasi 0,348, sehingga tidak signifikan secara statistik meskipun menunjukkan kecenderungan hubungan searah yang lemah. Sementara itu, hubungan antara jarak distribusi dan sisa klor menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,010 (< 0,05) dengan koefisien korelasi -0,660, yang berarti terdapat hubungan signifikan dengan arah berlawanan dan kekuatan korelasi yang kuat, di mana semakin bertambah jarak distribusi maka kadar sisa klor cenderung menurun. Adapun hubungan antara pH dan sisa klor memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,558 (> 0,05) dengan koefisien korelasi 0,171, sehingga tidak signifikan secara statistik dan hanya memiliki kekuatan korelasi yang sangat lemah. Penyesuaian konsentrasi sisa klor dilakukan melalui penambahan dosis klorin pada IPAM serta penambahan 6 titik reklorinasi pada jaringan distribusi.

Drinking water is a basic human necessity that plays an important role in maintaining human survival and public health. The availability of safe and adequate drinking water is a key factor in disease prevention and the improvement of quality of life. Drinking water that does not meet the required standards has the potential to become a medium for disease transmission and may endanger public health. One of the important processes in drinking water treatment is disinfection, particularly through the chlorination method, which aims to eliminate pathogenic microorganisms. Chlorination produces chlorine residuals that serve as a continuing protective barrier during the drinking water distribution process. However, chlorine residual concentrations must comply with the established quality standards in order to remain effective and safe. Based on the results of water quality testing at IPAM Plosowahyu, Lamongan District, it was found that the free chlorine residual concentration at the reservoir outlet was still within the established standard range, indicating the possibility that the residual chlorine may be depleted at certain distances and consequently reduce water quality during distribution. This study aims to analyze the distribution of chlorine residual concentrations within the drinking water distribution network in Lamongan District. The methods employed include water sampling at several points throughout the distribution network located at varying distances from the reservoir. The parameters analyzed consist of free chlorine residual concentration, pH, and water temperature, all of which are known to influence the effectiveness and decay of chlorine residuals. The testing results were subsequently analyzed descriptively to identify the pattern of chlorine residual reduction during the distribution process as well as its relationship with environmental factors and distribution distance. The results showed that most areas within the Lamongan District service zone had residual chlorine concentrations below the quality standard specified in the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation (Permenkes) No. 2 of 2023, namely 0.2–0.5 mg/L. The highest residual chlorine concentration was observed near the IPAM area at approximately 0.22 mg/L, while the southern part of the service zone exhibited the most critical condition, with residual chlorine concentrations approaching 0.01 mg/L or even zero. Pearson correlation analysis indicated that water temperature and pH had no statistically significant relationship with residual chlorine concentration, with significance values of 0.223 and 0.558, respectively. In contrast, distribution distance showed a significant negative correlation with residual chlorine concentration (p = 0.010; r = -0.660), indicating that residual chlorine tends to decrease as distribution distance increases. To improve residual chlorine concentrations, optimization of chlorine dosage at the IPAM and the addition of six rechlorination points within the distribution network were implemented.
