Abstract

Produksi minyak dan gas bumi di laut Indonesia umumnya terjadi di perairan dangkal hingga kedalaman menengah, sehingga metode instalasi pipa S-lay yang sesuai untuk kedalaman hingga sekitar 300 m sering digunakan. Proses instalasi pipa menggunakan pipelay barge memerlukan sistem penambatan dan peralatan instalasi yang andal untuk memastikan keselamatan dan kestabilan selama pemasangan. Sistem mooring berfungsi mempertahankan posisi barge, sedangkan stinger bertugas untuk mengarahkan pipa saat diturunkan ke dasar laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respons dinamis pipelay barge pada kondisi operasi dan ekstrem, mengevaluasi tegangan pada sistem mooring, serta mengkaji pengaruh variasi sudut stinger terhadap distribusi tegangan stinger dan pipa. Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan software OrcaFlex dengan mempertimbangkan beban lingkungan seperti gelombang, arus, dan angin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respons dinamis barge berpengaruh terhadap tegangan mooring, sementara variasi sudut stinger memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap tegangan stinger dan pipa.

Oil and gas production in Indonesian offshore areas is generally conducted in shallow to intermediate waters, where the S-lay pipeline installation method, suitable for water depths of up to approximately 300 m, is commonly applied. Pipeline installation using a pipelay barge requires a reliable mooring system and installation equipment to ensure safety and positional stability during operations. The mooring system functions to maintain the barge position, while the stinger serves to guide the pipeline as it is lowered to the seabed.
This study aims to analyze the dynamic response of the pipelay barge under operational and extreme conditions, evaluate the tension in the mooring system, and investigate the effect of stinger angle variations on the stress distribution along the stinger and pipeline. The analysis is performed using OrcaFlex software, considering environmental loads such as waves, currents, and wind. The results indicate that the dynamic response of the barge significantly affects mooring line tension, while variations in the stinger angle have a substantial influence on the stresses experienced by the stinger and the pipeline.
