Abstract

Saturator merupakan peralatan yang mendukung proses produksi pada Pabrik ZA III DI PABRIK 1 PT. PETROKIMIA GRESIK. Di saturator ini terjadi proses reaksi bahan-bahan pembuat pupuk ZA Reaksi ini sangat isotermis. Jadi pendistribusian condensat ke saturator sangat diperlukan untuk menjaga keseimbangan temperatur saturator agar tetap konstan. Dalam Proses ini dibutuhkan instalasi pompa sebagai peralatan utama, oleh karena itu dalam perencanaan ulang instalasi tersebut harus dipertimbangkan kapasitas, head, perencaaan impeller dan pemilihan pompa yang tepat. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan kapasitas aliran sebesar 30,78 liter/jam dan head instalasi total sebesar 24,67894 m. Sehingga dipilih jenis pompa Sentrifugal Single Suction dengan poros horizontal impeler 129 mm, putaran 3500 rpm tipe Etanorm 32-125 KSB Pumps Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan didapatkan pompa yang mempunyai effisiensi lebih tinggi yaitu 67,3 % dibandingkan dengan pompa yang sudah terpasang pada instalasi dengan effisiensinya sebesar 65 %.

Saturator is component which support to production process at Factory unit ZA III FACTORY 1 PT. PETROKIMIA GRESIK. In this Saturator reaction process happened of ZA manure making material. These reaction very isotherms. Hereby, condensate has very needed to keep the balancing of saturator temperature to be constant.In this process is needed pump's installation as the main tool. For those the pump installation should be calculating the capacity, head, and diameter impeller and selecting suitable pump. From the calculation result, conclude that flow capacity is 30.78 liter/hr and total installation head is 24.67894 m. Herewith, Single Suction Centrifugal pump has choused with diameter impeller of horizontal shaft is 120 mm, rotation is 3500 rpm,type 32-125 KSB pump Etanorm is the right pump for installation. Based calculation result, conclude pump having higher efficiency is 67,3 % compared to pump which have been attached at installation with efficiency is 65 %.
