Abstract

PT CPI merupakan perusahaan agribisnis yang bergerak di bidang produksi dan pengolahan ayam. Salah satu tantangan utama adalah terjadinya susut bobot ayam selama proses distribusi pengiriman dari peternakan ke fasilitas pengolahan. Selama ini, perusahaan menggunakan standar baku susut di area 3 sebesar 4%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi standar baku lama dan menetapkan standar baru yang lebih realistis menggunakan metode analisis kapabilitas proses dengan bantuan peta kendali. Selain itu, faktor-faktor penyebab susut diidentifikasi menggunakan diagram Ishikawa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 faktor utama yang mempengaruhi susut bobot ayam, yaitu manusia, mesin, metode, dan lingkungan. Selain itu proses pada bulan Juli tahun 2024 hingga Juni 2025 dapat dikatakan kapabel dengan menggunakan batas spesifikasi 0%-4%. Dengan menggunakan analisis kemampuan proses, didapatkan standar baku baru sebesar 1,5%-3% yang dapat digunakan perusahaan. Maka hasil rekomendasi diharapkan membantu perusahaan menetapkan standar susut yang lebih akurat, menekan kerugian, dan meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi ayam hidup dalam rantai pasok.

PT CPI is an agribusiness company engaged in chicken production and processing. One of the main challenges is chicken weight loss during the distribution process from the farm to the processing facility. Until now, the company has used a standard weight loss rate of 4% in area 3. This study aims to evaluate the old standard and establish a new, more realistic standard using process capability analysis with the help of control charts. In addition, the factors causing weight loss were identified using an Ishikawa diagram. The results of the study show that there are four main factors that affect chicken weight loss, namely people, machines, methods, and the environment. Furthermore, the process from July 2024 to June 2025 can be considered capable using a specification limit of 0%-4%. Using process capability analysis, a new standard of 1.5%-3% was obtained, which the company can use. Therefore, the recommended results are expected to help the company set more accurate shrinkage standards, reduce losses, and improve the efficiency of live chicken distribution in the supply chain.
