Abstract

Semakin tingginya harga bahan bakar bensin membawa dampak terhadap kegiatan perekonomian di segala bidang. Naiknya harga bensin ini berakibat pada biaya operasional dan secara langsung akan menurunkan pendapatan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka diadakan penelitian mengenai gas hidrogen sebagai campuran pada bensin. Pencampuran bahan bakar bensin dan gas hidrogen dengan metode elektrolisis air yang diinjeksikan melalui filter udara. Uji unjuk kerja dilakukan pada mesin bensin stasioner empat langkah satu silinder untuk mengukur torsi, daya, tekanan efektif rata-rata (Bmep), pemakaian bahan bakar spesifik (Bsfc), dan efisiensi thermis. Dari hasil pengujian terlihat bahwa penginjeksian gas hidrogen pada bensin tdak terlalu mempengaruhi nilai dari torsi, BHP, dan BMEP. Untuk nilai rata-rata Bsfc cenderung mengalami penurunan, rata-rata Bsfc terendah sebesar 0,0053 kg/HP.h. Sedangkan untuk nilai effisiensi thermisnya mengalami peningkatan, sampai 8,1%.

The high price of fuel gas has brought the impact on the economic activities in all sectors. Increase of gasoline demand follow by increasing price and it can be reduce income. To overcome this problem the research conducted on the hydrogen as the gasoline mixture. Mixing gasoline and hydrogen, with the method water elektrolisis of injected through air filter. Performance test done in the genset gasoline engine 4 stroke one cylinder to measure torsi, power, the mean effective pressure (Bmep), the fuel specific (Bsfc), and efficiency thermis. From test results shown that the injection of hydrogen on the gasoline does not affect the value of too torsi, BHP, and BMEP. For the average value Bsfc tended to decrease, the average lowest Bsfc of 0.0053 kg / HP.h. While for the value of effisiensi thermal tend to increase, 8,1%.
