Abstract
Pengendalian kualitas sangat penting dan diperlukan dalam industri manufaktur guna menghasilkan produk sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan dan mampu bersaing dalam ketatnya persaingan pasar. PT Bhirawa Steel adalah salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi berbagai jenis baja, salah satunya baja tulangan beton sirip. Namun, dalam prosesnya, bagian Quality Control belum menerapkan pengendalian kualitas secara statistika dengan menggunakan peta kendali untuk mengetahui apakah proses telah kapabel dalam menghasilkan suatu produk. Pengendalian kualitas yang dapat dilakukan yakni dengan melibatkan tiga karakteristik kualitas yang saling dependen yaitu berat, diameter efektif dan kuat luluh, sehingga digunakan peta kendali multivariat yaitu Generalized Variance untuk mengontrol variabilitas proses serta peta kendali T² Hotelling untuk mean proses. Penelitian ini membagi data menjadi dua fase, fase pertama diambil pada periode 10 Januari – 2 November 2024 dan fase kedua diambil pada bulan 3 November 2024 – Oktober 2025. Berdasarkan pengendalian kualitas proses produksi baja tulangan beton sirip dengan menggunakan peta kendali peta kendali T² Hotelling dan peta kendali Generalized Variance terdapat beberapa pengamatan yang out of control. Faktor Penyebabnya antara lain yaitu material, manusia dan mesin. Kegagalan dalam setting mesin termek (Quenching) menjadi penyebab utama dari ketidaksesuaian pada proses produksi. Hasil indeks kapabilitas proses menunjukkan bahwa fase 1 memiliki nilai Mcp sebesar 6,16 dan fase 2 sebesar 3,47 yang menunjukkan bahwa kapabilitas proses dari karakteristik kualitas produksi baja tulangan beton sirip secara multivariat telah kapabel dan mengalami peningkatan dalam proses produksi.

Quality control is very important and necessary in the manufacturing industry to produce products that meet established standards and are able to compete in a highly competitive market. PT Bhirawa Steel is one of the manufacturing companies that produces various types of steel, including ribbed reinforcing steel bars. However, in its process, the Quality Control department has not implemented statistical quality control using control charts to determine whether the process is capable of producing a product. Quality control can be carried out by involving three interdependent quality characteristics, namely weight, effective diameter, and yield strength, therefore a multivariate control chart is used, namely the Generalized Variance chart to control process variability and the T² Hotelling chart to control the process mean. This study divides the data into two phases: the first phase covers the period from January 10 to November 2, 2024, and the second phase covers the period from November 3, 2024, to October 2025. Based on the quality control of the ribbed reinforcing steel bar production process using the T² Hotelling control chart and the Generalized Variance control chart, several observations were found to be out of control. The contributing factors include material, human, and machine factors. Failure in setting the termek (quenching) machine became the primary cause of nonconformities in the production process. The process capability index results show that phase 1 has an Mcp value of 6.16 and phase 2 has a value of 3.47, indicating that the process capability of the ribbed reinforcing steel bar production quality characteristics is multivariately capable and has experienced an improvement in the production process.
