Abstract

Model menjelaskan 72,1% variansi Actual Usage.

PT SBS is a pump manufacturing company that conducts Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) before units are shipped to mining sites. The current FAT process still relies on manual methods, requiring operators and the QC team to be present in hazardous areas, which results in three problems: high occupational safety risks, low data validity due to human error, and limited transparency of information for customers. This study designed a SCADA-based monitoring system using Design Thinking as the design methodology and analyzed the acceptance level using TAM3 as the framework for evaluating technology acceptance. Design Thinking was implemented through five stages (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test) using Node-RED. Acceptance evaluation was conducted via a questionnaire administered to 60 PT SBS workshop employees, analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS4. The application of Design Thinking resulted in a SCADA dashboard that initially proposed five core features (Remote Monitoring, Remote Start/Stop, Speed Adjuster, Real-time Digital Gauge, and Parameter Table). Through an iterative cycle during the Testing stage with expert users, the system was developed into seven integrated features with the addition of Fault History and Trend Data. The TAM evaluation showed that all 26 indicators were valid (AVE > 0.50) and reliable (α > 0.80). The model explains 72.1% of the variance in Actual Usage. Attitude Toward Using is the only direct predictor of Actual Usage, with a path coefficient of β = 0.849 and an effect size of f² = 0.882, followed by PU (β = 0.454; p = 0.000) and PEOU (p = 0.005). Technology Self-Efficacy was found to be the strongest predictor of PEOU among the external variables (β = 0.494; p = 0.000). Perception of External Control and Technology Anxiety were not found to be significant. The study concludes that this research resulted in a system that was well-received by all user groups, with workplace safety motivation as the primary driver of actual usage.
