Abstract
Precipitable Water Vapor (PWV) merupakan parameter atmosfer yang menggambarkan jumlah uap air dalam suatu kolom atmosfer dan berperan penting dalam proses pembentukan awan serta presipitasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekstraksi PWV menggunakan metode Multi-Temporal Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (MT-InSAR) berbasis data Sentinel-1 dan ALOS PALSAR-2 di wilayah Surabaya selama periode 2022–2023. Proses ekstraksi dilakukan melalui pengolahan data SAR multitemporal yang meliputi pembentukan interferogram, phase filtering, phase unwrapping, konversi fase menjadi slant delay, perhitungan PWV parsial, serta integrasi komponen Long Wavelength Delay (LWD), Elevation Dependent Delay (EDD), dan koreksi bias GNSS untuk memperoleh PWV absolut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai PWV absolut hasil ekstraksi Sentinel-1 memiliki kisaran rata-rata 30,647–60,657 mm, sedangkan ALOS PALSAR-2 memiliki kisaran rata-rata 34,422–59,064 mm. Kedua sensor menunjukkan pola variasi temporal yang relatif serupa dengan penurunan nilai PWV pada pertengahan tahun dan peningkatan kembali pada akhir tahun. Analisis hubungan antara PWV dan presipitasi CHIRPS menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,521 untuk Sentinel-1 dan 0,664 untuk ALOS PALSAR-2. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa metode MT-InSAR mampu menggambarkan variasi kandungan uap air atmosfer di wilayah Surabaya dan memiliki keterkaitan yang cukup baik dengan pola presipitasi.

Precipitable Water Vapor (PWV) is an atmospheric parameter that represents the total amount of water vapor contained within a vertical column of the atmosphere and plays an important role in cloud formation and precipitation processes. This study aims to extract PWV using the Multi-Temporal Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (MT-InSAR) method based on Sentinel-1 and ALOS PALSAR-2 data over the Surabaya area during the period of 2022–2023. The extraction process was carried out through multitemporal SAR data processing, including interferogram generation, phase filtering, phase unwrapping, phase-to-slant delay conversion, and partial PWV calculation. Absolute PWV was then obtained by integrating the Long Wavelength Delay (LWD), Elevation Dependent Delay (EDD), and GNSS bias correction components. The results show that the average absolute PWV derived from Sentinel-1 ranges from 30.647 mm to 60.657 mm, while the average absolute PWV derived from ALOS PALSAR-2 ranges from 34.422 mm to 59.064 mm. Both sensors exhibit similar temporal variation patterns, characterized by lower PWV values during the middle of the year and higher values toward the end of the year. Correlation analysis between PWV and CHIRPS precipitation data indicates a positive relationship, with correlation coefficients of 0.521 for Sentinel-1 and 0.664 for ALOS PALSAR-2. These results demonstrate that the MT-InSAR method is capable of representing atmospheric water vapor variations over the Surabaya area and shows a reasonably strong relationship with precipitation patterns.
