Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Lean Farming dalam mereduksi waste dan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional pada peternakan ayam broiler sistem closed house di Kajang Broiler Farm. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis dengan data utama berupa Rekap Hasil Perhitungan Plasma (RHPP), data aktivitas proses, data utilitas, observasi lapangan, dokumentasi, serta konfirmasi operasional dari Anak Buah Kandang (ABK) dan kepala/pengelola kandang Kajang Broiler Farm. Pemetaan kondisi aktual dilakukan menggunakan Current State Value Stream Mapping untuk mengidentifikasi aliran proses, aliran material, aliran informasi, serta aktivitas value added (VA), necessary non-value added (NNVA), dan non-value added (NVA). Hasil pemetaan menunjukkan process lead time sebesar 41 hari dengan total cycle time 23.243 menit, terdiri atas VA sebesar 13.267 menit atau 57,08%, NNVA sebesar 2.806 menit atau 12,07%, dan NVA sebesar 7.170 menit atau 30,85%. Berdasarkan identifikasi aktivitas NVA, ditemukan tiga jenis waste utama, yaitu defect sebesar 4.555 menit atau 63,53%, motion sebesar 1.890 menit atau 26,36%, dan transportation sebesar 725 menit atau 10,11%. Diagram Pareto menunjukkan bahwa defect dan motion menjadi waste prioritas dengan kontribusi kumulatif 89,89%, sedangkan analisis akar penyebab dilakukan menggunakan Fishbone Diagram. Rancangan perbaikan disusun menggunakan pendekatan 5W1H, meliputi checklist inspeksi ayam sakit atau kerdil, kontrol nipple drinker, pemantauan litter, papan visual harian, penataan alat kerja dengan prinsip 5S sederhana, rute inspeksi operator, penataan titik simpan tabung gas, serta standardisasi aktivitas NNVA. Hasil rancangan Future State Value Stream Mapping menunjukkan target penurunan total cycle time dari 23.243 menit menjadi 21.532 menit, penurunan NNVA dari 2.806 menit menjadi 2.789 menit, penurunan NVA dari 7.170 menit menjadi 5.476 menit, dan peningkatan efisiensi operasional dari 57,08% menjadi 61,61% tanpa mengubah process lead time biologis sebesar 41 hari.

This study aims to analyze the application of Lean Farming to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency in a closed-house broiler farm at Kajang Broiler Farm. This research applied a descriptive-analytical approach using the Summary of Plasma Calculation Results (RHPP), process activity data, utility data, field observation, documentation, and operational confirmation from farm workers and the head/farm manager of Kajang Broiler Farm. The current condition was mapped using Current State Value Stream Mapping to identify process flow, material flow, information flow, and activity classification into value added (VA), necessary nonvalue added (NNVA), and non-value added (NVA). The results show a process lead time of 41 days with a total cycle time of 23,243 minutes, consisting of 13,267 minutes or 57.08% of VA, 2,806 minutes or 12.07% of NNVA, and 7,170 minutes or 30.85% of NVA. Based on NVA activity identification, three main types of waste were found: defect at 4,555 minutes or 63.53%, motion at 1,890 minutes or 26.36%, and transportation at 725 minutes or 10.11%. Pareto analysis shows that defect and motion are the priority wastes, contributing 89.89% of the total NVA time, while root causes were analyzed using the Fishbone Diagram. Improvement plans were developed using the 5W1H approach, including sick or stunted chicken inspection checklists, nipple drinker control, litter monitoring, daily visual boards, simple 5Sbased tool arrangement, operator inspection routes, gas cylinder storage arrangement, and standardization of NNVA activities. The proposed Future State Value Stream Mapping indicates a target reduction in total cycle time from 23,243 minutes to 21,532 minutes, a reduction in NNVA from 2,806 minutes to 2,789 minutes, a reduction in NVA from 7,170 minutes to 5,476 minutes, and an increase in operational efficiency from 57.08% to 61.61% without changing the biological process lead time of 41 days.
