Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong perusahaan penerbitan untuk menerapkan sistem terkomputerisasi guna meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan data dan proses penerbitan buku. Kerja praktik ini dilaksanakan di CV. Sarana Komunikasi dan Teknologi Informatika dengan tujuan mengembangkan sistem informasi penerbitan buku yang dapat mendukung pengelolaan data buku, penulis, editor, pengguna, serta proses administrasi penerbitan secara terstruktur dan terintegrasi. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Waterfall yang meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem dikembangkan sebagai aplikasi berbasis web menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, basis data MySQL, XAMPP sebagai lingkungan pengembangan, serta Visual Studio Code sebagai editor kode. Hasil kerja praktik berupa sistem informasi penerbitan buku dengan beberapa jenis hak akses, yaitu penulis, editor, dan administrator. Sistem menyediakan fitur pencarian dan informasi buku bagi pengguna, pengelolaan karya bagi penulis, pengelolaan serta penyuntingan data buku bagi editor, serta pengelolaan buku, penulis, editor, stok, dan pesan masuk bagi administrator. Selain itu, sistem dilengkapi dengan fitur penambahan penulis, penambahan editor, serta pengelolaan data dan berkas buku. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi, sistem yang dikembangkan mampu membantu proses pengelolaan penerbitan menjadi lebih terorganisasi, mempermudah akses informasi, dan meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan data.

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged publishing companies to adopt computerized systems to improve the efficiency of data management and book publishing processes. This internship was conducted at CV. Sarana Komunikasi dan Teknologi Informatika with the objective of developing a book publishing information system that supports the management of books, authors, editors, users, and publication administration in a structured and integrated manner. The system was developed using the Waterfall software development methodology, which consists of the requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases. The application was implemented as a web-based system using PHP as the programming language, MySQL as the database management system, XAMPP as the development environment, and Visual Studio Code as the code editor. The result of this internship is a book publishing information system that provides multiple user roles, namely author, editor, and administrator. The system offers book search and information features for users, manuscript management for authors, book management and editing features for editors, and comprehensive management of books, authors, editors, inventory, and incoming messages for administrators. In addition, the system includes features for adding authors, adding editors, and managing book records and related files. Based on the implementation results, the developed system helps organize publishing management more effectively, facilitates access to information, and improves the efficiency of data management.
