Abstract

A previous study developed a microservices-based ERP system with a manufacturing domain scope. This final project extends that work by designing, implementing, and evaluating a DevOps-based backend microservices system for an ERP with a retail domain scope, applied to retail cooperatives (Koperasi Serba Usaha/KSU). The system addresses the challenges of a multi-tenant cooperative environment requiring strong tenant isolation, high scalability, and integrated security. Each business module is developed as an independent service using the Clean Architecture pattern, communicates via API, and is deployed with Docker containerization on a single-server infrastructure due to research constraints. Multi-tenant authentication and authorization are managed using a reference-token pattern with gateway introspection (RFC 7662) implemented on the Kong API Gateway.

The implementation encompasses twelve core business modules developed using Golang with a Next.js frontend, deployed through a GitLab CI/CD pipeline, and monitored through a Prometheus and Grafana observability stack. Functional evaluation via end-to-end scenarios proves all core cooperative business processes run correctly and integrate, covering membership and savings management, inventory management and retail Point of Sale transactions, Cooperative Profit Sharing (SHU) calculation and distribution, and automatic accounting journal posting to the General Ledger. Non-functional evaluation confirms 100% data isolation between tenants, a build duration under three minutes, and infrastructure anomaly notification within 90 seconds. Under a 1,000-user load test, the system achieves a throughput of 1,438.46 requests per second, a P95 latency of 356.64 milliseconds, and a 0.02% error rate, satisfying all functional and non-functional requirements.
