Abstract
Penelitian ini mengembangkan Waste Analysis Mapping–Time (WAM-T) sebagai metode/instrumen pengukuran diagnostik untuk menilai efisiensi proses maintenance pada level aktivitas, sebagai respons atas keterbatasan indikator makro (mis. OEE, MTTR) yang tidak memberikan visibilitas sumber pemborosan waktu pada pekerjaan repair . WAM-T dirancang untuk konteks breakdown repair yang event-based, job-based, dan dinamis dengan mengintegrasikan: (1) pemetaan aktivitas repair aktual, (2) klasifikasi nilai aktivitas (VA–NNVA–NVA) berbasis prinsip lean, dan (3) pengukuran waktu aktual per aktivitas guna mengkuantifikasi pemborosan waktu. Kebaruan metode terletak pada penggabungan activity-based view dan time-based measurement dengan klasifikasi nilai aktivitas, sekaligus tidak mensyaratkan alur proses baku sebagaimana MVSM serta tidak terbatas pada pengukuran durasi tanpa konteks nilai sebagaimana time-motion study dan work element analysis. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan (genba), rekaman CMMS, dan wawancara teknisi pada dua line (Casting, Machining) dalam desain multi-case cross-sectional. Keandalan klasifikasi aktivitas diperkuat melalui pilot study dan uji konsistensi antar-observer (Cohen’s Kappa). Validasi keunggulan diagnostik WAM-T dilakukan melalui within-case comparison pada event repair yang sama dengan membandingkannya terhadap MVSM, time-motion study, dan work element analysis tanpa penggunaan kelompok kontrol eksperimental. Output utama WAM-T berupa pemetaan proporsi waktu VA–NNVA–NVA serta KPI mikro yang diusulkan (WTR, VAR, NTR dan MPE) untuk mengidentifikasi titik pemborosan dan prioritas perbaikan berbasis data waktu aktual.

This study develops Waste Analysis Mapping–Time (WAM-T) as a diagnostic measurement method/instrument for assessing maintenance process efficiency at the activity level, addressing the limitations of macro indicators (e.g., OEE and MTTR) that fail to reveal the sources of time waste during repair work. WAM-T is designed for event-based, job-based, and dynamic breakdown repair by integrating: (1) mapping of actual repair activities, (2) lean-based activity value classification (VA–NNVA–NVA), and (3) measurement of actual time per activity to quantify time waste. The methodological contribution lies in combining an activity-based view and time-based measurement with value classification, while not requiring a standardized end-to-end proses flow as in MVSM and going beyond duration-only measurement without value context as in time-motion study and work element analysis. Data are collected through shopfloor observations, CMMS records, and technician interviews across two manufacturing lines (Casting, Machining) using a multi-case cross-sectional desain. Classification reliability is strengthened via a pilot study and inter-rater reliability testing (Cohen’s Kappa). The diagnostic advantage of WAM-T is validated using within-case comparison on the same repair event by benchmarking against MVSM, time-motion study, and work element analysis, without employing an experimental control group. The main outputs include VA–NNVA–NVA time distributions and proposed micro-level KPIs (WTR, VAR, NTR and MPE) to pinpoint waste locations and support data-driven improvement prioritization based on actual time consumption.
