Abstract

Laporan ini menganalisis kegagalan akibat kontaminasi air pada komponen guide bearing Primary Air Heater di PLTU PT PLN Nusantara Power Paiton Unit 1 dan 2. Terlihat kontaminasi ini memicu korosi dan menurunkan efisiensi termal siklus Rankine. Penulis menggunakan metode Root Cause Failure Analysis dan Fishbone Diagram untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab masalah. Penulis menemukan kebocoran seal penutup, desain oil dipstick longgar, genangan air hujan pada cover, dan proses perawatan oli sulit sebagai penyebab utama. Anda dapat menerapkan tiga modifikasi desain berupa penambahan saluran Water Drain, atap Cover Guide Bearing, dan saluran Oil Drain untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini. Diperlukan biaya investasi sebesar Rp37.339.200 untuk merealisasikan modifikasi tersebut. Proyek perbaikan ini menghasilkan Net Present Value sebesar Rp7.985.461.569. This report analyzes the failure caused by water contamination in the Primary Air Heater guide bearing component at PLTU PT PLN Nusantara Power Paiton Unit 1 and 2. This contamination triggers corrosion and decreases the Rankine cycle thermal efficiency. The author uses the Root Cause Failure Analysis method and a Fishbone Diagram to identify the cause of the problem. The author found cover seal leaks, a loose oil dipstick design, rainwater puddles on the cover, and a difficult oil maintenance process as the main causes. You can apply three design modifications in the form of a Water Drain channel, a Cover Guide Bearing roof, and an Oil Drain channel to solve this problem. You need an investment of Rp37,339,200 to implement these modifications. This improvement project generates a Net Present Value of Rp7,985,461,569. You can prevent emergency operational shutdowns and save the power plant unit from large financial losses by applying this solution.
