Abstract

PT. Sunrise Steel yang terletak di Kabupaten Mojokerto merupakan salah satu produsen besar BjLAS (Baja Lapis Alumunium Seng) di Indonesia dengan brand Zinium. Pada proses produksi di PT. Sunrise Steel Mojokerto mampu menghasilkan sebesar 400.000 ton/tahun. Bahan baku yang digunakan pada proses produksi BjLAS yaitu CRC (Cold Rolled Coil). Pada tugas akhir ini didapatkannya hasil perhitungan evaluasi ulang instalasi dan pemilihan pompa yang sesuai untuk instalasi cooling water pump. Untuk perhitungan head, NPSHA, kapasitas, daya pompa, rekomendasi pemilihan pompa dilakukan secara analitis dan juga numerik menggunakan software pipe flow expert 7.40, dan menghitung temperatur yang diijinkan agar tidak terjadinya kavitasi. Pada perhitungan evaluasi ulang pada instalasi ini, didapatkan $\text{kapasitas} = 377m^3/h, head efektif = 59,690m, NPSHA sebesar = 6,90m, serta didapatkan daya motor sebesar = 104,188 kW maka dari itu hasil perhitungan-perhitungan tersebut dapat dipilih pompa centrifugal single stage merk Grundfos dengan type NKG 200-150-400/412 A1-F-B-E-BAQE. Serta temperatur yang diijinkan agar tidak terjadinya kavitasi dengan suhu dibawah 70^C

PT. Sunrise Steel located in Mojokerto Regency is one of the largest producers of Zinc-Aluminum Layered Steel in Indonesia with the brand name of Zinium. PT. Sunrise Steel can produce up to 400.000 tonnes/year of this steel. The raw material used on this steel production process is CRC (Cold Rolled Coil). In this final project, the installation re-evaluation calculation and the right pump choice for the cooling water pump installation were found. The head, NPSHA, capacity, pump power calculation and the pump recommendation are done both analytically and numerically using the Pipe Flow Expert 7.40 software, and the allowed temperature is also calculated to prevent cavity. In this re-evaluation calculation, it was found that the needed capacity = 377m^3/h, Head Effective = 59.690 m, NPSHA = 6.90m, and the motor power = 104.188kW. With these calculations, it was found that the single stage centrifugal pump with the brand name of Grundfos and the type of NKG 200-150-400/412 A1-F-B-E-BAQE was the best choice and therefore it was chosen as the best pump. The temperature allowed to prevent cavity is below 70^C.
