Abstract
Peran boiler sangatlah penting pada seluruh proses produksi disetiap perusahaan. Perusahaan pemanis buatan merupakan industri makanan dengan hasil produksi utama berupa pemanis buatan. Dalam proses produksinya perusahaan pemanis buatan menggunakan bantuan Coal boiler untuk mensuplai steam ke seluruh plant yang ada pada perusahaan. Pada saat berproduksi, coal boiler sering kali mengalami downtime sehingga berpengaruh terhadap target produksi yang sering tidak tercapai. Untuk mengetahui nilai efektivitas dari boiler, maka diperlukannya perhitungan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menghitung Six Big Losses untuk mengetahui besarnya kerugian dari ketiga aspek OEE. Dengan analisa ini, akan diketahui akar penyebab masalah yang akan dibandingkan dengan diagram pareto yang akan disusun sesuai ukurannya. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembuatan diagram Fishbone untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab terjadinya suatu masalah dan dilanjutkan pembuatan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk menentukan penyebab tidak efektifnya mesin. Jika pencapaian efektivitas penggunaan mesin boiler belum mencapai kondisi yang ideal, maka diberikan rekomendasi berdasarkan konsep 8 pilar TPM.

The role of the boiler is very important in the entire production process in every company. Artificial sweetener company is a food industry with the main production in the form of artificial sweeteners. In the production process, the artificial sweetener company uses the help of a Coal boiler to supply steam to all plants in the company. At the time of production, coal boilers often experience downtime so that it affects production targets which are often not achieved. To determine the effectiveness of the boiler, it is necessary to calculate the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Then proceed with calculating the Six Big Losses to find out the magnitude of the losses from the three aspects of OEE. With this analysis, the root cause of the problem will be known which will be compared with a Pareto diagram which will be arranged according to its size. Next, a Fishbone diagram is made to find out the factors that cause a problem and continue to make Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to determine the cause of the machine's ineffectiveness. If the achievement of the effectiveness of the use of the boiler engine has not reached the ideal condition, then a recommendation is given based on the concept of the 8 pillars of TPM.
