Abstract
Literasi merupakan keterampilan fundamental yang krusial bagi perkembangan akademik siswa, namun sering kali menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus yang memerlukan metode pembelajaran visual dan interaktif. Aplikasi Bacakanbuku dikembangkan sebagai solusi media pembelajaran berbantu seluler, namun versi sebelumnya memiliki keterbatasan pada antarmuka yang belum dioptimalkan untuk perangkat tablet, ketiadaan sistem manajemen konten mandiri bagi pengajar, serta risiko biaya operasional infrastruktur yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ekosistem aplikasi Bacakanbuku versi 3.0 yang lebih inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Pengembangan mencakup optimalisasi antarmuka pengguna aplikasi siswa pada tablet menggunakan arsitektur Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) dan Jetpack Compose, serta pembangunan modul admin berbasis desktop menggunakan kerangka kerja Electron untuk pengelolaan materi ajar secara dinamis. Infrastruktur backend dimigrasikan dari Firebase ke Appwrite Cloud guna meminimalisir biaya berlangganan dan menjamin keberlanjutan sistem. Selain itu, fitur gamifikasi tingkat lanjut berupa sistem level, lencana pencapaian, dan papan peringkat diimplementasikan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Pengujian sistem dilakukan melalui validasi fungsional dengan Black Box Testing, pengujian peningkatan literasi menggunakan rancangan one-group pretest-posttest yang dianalisis dengan uji-t satu sisi, serta evaluasi kebergunaan menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS). Hasil pengujian fungsional dengan Black Box Testing menunjukkan seluruh fitur pada sisi siswa, guru, dan admin berjalan sesuai spesifikasi. Evaluasi kebergunaan yang melibatkan lima guru pendamping memperoleh skor rata-rata SUS sebesar 83,5 (rentang 75,0–97,5) yang termasuk kategori “Excellent” (Grade A). Pengujian literasi terhadap 23 siswa menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai tes membaca/menyimak dari 70,22 menjadi 80,00 atau naik 9,78 poin pada skala 0–100, dan uji-t satu sisi membuktikan peningkatan tersebut signifikan secara statistik (t = 1,736; p = 0,0483), dengan peningkatan paling menonjol pada aspek mengingat (remembering) dan memahami (understanding). Dengan demikian, aplikasi Bacakanbuku versi 3.0 dinilai layak diterapkan sebagai media pembelajaran literasi bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus.

Literacy is a fundamental skill crucial for students' academic development, yet it often poses a challenge for students with special needs who require visual and interactive learning methods. The Bacakanbuku application was developed as a mobile-assisted learning solution; however, previous versions faced limitations regarding interfaces not optimized for tablet devices, the absence of an independent content management system for educators, and high infrastructure operational cost risks. This research aims to develop the Bacakanbuku version 3.0 ecosystem to be more inclusive and sustainable. The development encompasses optimizing the student application user interface for tablets using the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architecture and Jetpack Compose, as well as building a desktop-based admin module using the Electron framework for dynamic learning material management. The backend infrastructure is migrated from Firebase to Appwrite Cloud to minimize subscription costs and ensure system sustainability. Furthermore, advanced gamification features, such as leveling systems, achievement badges, and leaderboards, are implemented to enhance student learning motivation. System testing was conducted through Black Box Testing for functional validation, a one-group pretest-posttest design analyzed using a one-tailed t-test to measure literacy improvement, and usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The functional testing using Black Box Testing showed that all features on the student, teacher, and admin sides performed according to specification. The usability evaluation involving five accompanying teachers obtained an average SUS score of 83.5 (ranging from 75.0 to 97.5), categorized as “Excellent” (Grade A). The literacy testing on 23 students showed an increase in the average reading/listening test score from 70.22 to 80.00, or 9.78 points on a 0–100 scale, and a one-tailed t-test proved this improvement to be statistically significant (t = 1.736; p = 0.0483), with the most notable improvement in the remembering and understanding aspects. Therefore, the Bacakanbuku version 3.0 application is considered suitable for implementation as a literacy learning medium for students with special needs.
