Abstract

Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) merupakan sistem pembangkitan energi listrik yang memiliki kompleksitas tinggi dan memerlukan keandalan sistem instrumentasi dan kontrol untuk menjaga kestabilan proses. Salah satu komponen penting dalam sistem air umpan adalah High Pressure Heater (HP Heater), khususnya pada jalur drain menuju deaerator yang berfungsi untuk mengalirkan kondensat hasil pemanasan. Pengendalian level pada sistem ini sangat bergantung pada kinerja Level Control Valve, sehingga diperlukan kondisi valve yang terkalibrasi dengan baik agar sistem dapat bekerja secara optimal. Kegiatan magang ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses kalibrasi serta menguji kinerja Level Control Valve pada High Pressure 6 Heater Drain Line menuju deaerator di PLTU. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapangan, studi literatur, pengumpulan data teknis, serta keterlibatan langsung dalam kegiatan kalibrasi dan pemeliharaan instrumentasi. Proses kalibrasi dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi hubungan antara sinyal input dan respon bukaan valve, serta memastikan kesesuaian karakteristik valve terhadap standar operasional. Selain itu, dilakukan pengujian kinerja untuk mengetahui respon statis valve terhadap perubahan kondisi operasi.

Steam Power Plants (SPPs) are electric power generation systems with high operational complexity that require reliable instrumentation and control systems to maintain process stability. One of the critical components in the feedwater system is the High Pressure (HP) Heater, particularly the drain line leading to the deaerator, which functions to transfer condensate produced during the heating process. The level control of this system highly depends on the performance of the Level Control Valve. Therefore, proper valve calibration is essential to ensure optimal system operation. This internship aimed to analyze the calibration process and evaluate the performance of the Level Control Valve installed on the High Pressure 6 Heater Drain Line leading to the deaerator in a Steam Power Plant. The methods employed included field observations, literature review, technical data collection, and direct involvement in instrumentation calibration and maintenance activities. The calibration process was carried out by evaluating the relationship between the input signal and the valve opening response, as well as verifying the conformity of the valve characteristics with operational standards. In addition, performance testing was conducted to evaluate the valve's static response characteristics under different operating conditions.
