Abstract

Kegiatan magang di PT ECCO Indonesia bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap penerapan sistem otomasi industri, khususnya pada proses pengendalian mesin produksi. Salah satu permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah perlunya penyesuaian sistem kontrol pada konveyor baru mesin 1 di stasiun glue agar proses aplikasi lem pada sol sepatu dapat berjalan secara optimal dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan produksi. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan proses re-program konveyor dengan merancang ulang program berbasis ladder diagram pada PLC menggunakan aplikasi CX-Designer. Program yang dibuat mengatur alur kerja sistem mulai dari proses penjepitan (gripping) plate sepatu, pengangkatan plate oleh gripper, hingga proses identifikasi kode pada setiap sepatu menggunakan sistem deteksi. Setelah kode terdeteksi, sistem akan mengaktifkan mekanisme pengeluaran glue yang kemudian diaplikasikan secara otomatis pada bagian sol sepatu. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis sistem yang berjalan, perancangan logika kontrol, implementasi program pada PLC, serta pengujian langsung pada plant. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem konveyor dan proses aplikasi glue dapat berjalan lebih terkontrol, sinkron, dan efisien sesuai dengan alur produksi yang diharapkan.

The internship program at PT ECCO Indonesia aims to enhance students’ understanding of the application of industrial automation systems, particularly in the control of production machinery. One of the issues identified was the need to adjust the control system on the new conveyor for Machine 1 at the glue station so that the process of applying glue to shoe soles could run optimally and in accordance with production requirements. To address this issue, the conveyor was reprogrammed by redesigning the ladder diagram-based program on the PLC using the CX-Designer application. The program controls the system’s workflow, starting from the gripping of the shoe plate, the lifting of the plate by the gripper, to the identification of the code on each shoe using a detection system. Once the code is detected, the system activates the glue dispensing mechanism, which then automatically applies the glue to the shoe sole. The methods used included analysis of the existing system, control logic design, program implementation on the PLC, and on-site testing at the plant. The results of the implementation showed that the conveyor system and the glue application process operate in a more controlled, synchronized, and efficient manner, in line with the expected production workflow.
