Abstract
Dalam sistem tenaga listrik, keberadaan sistem proteksi yang andal sangat penting untuk menjaga kontinuitas pasokan energi listrik dan mencegah kerusakan peralatan akibat gangguan. Salah satu perangkat proteksi yang umum digunakan adalah Inverse Time Overcurrent Relay (ITOC). Pengaturan parameter rele, khususnya Time Dial Setting (TDS), sangat berpengaruh terhadap kinerja koordinasi proteksi antara rele primer dan rele backup. Penentuan TDS secara manual sering kali kurang efisien karena membutuhkan proses trial and error dan waktu perhitungan yang cukup lama. Oleh karena itu, pada penelitian ini digunakan metode Adaptive Modified Firefly Algorithm (AMFA) untuk mengoptimalkan pengaturan TDS pada sistem kelistrikan PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda akibat integrasi suplai PLN 20 kV. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memodelkan sistem kelistrikan menggunakan ETAP, mengambil data arus hubung singkat maksimum, mengidentifikasi parameter rele, serta menghitung nilai TDS menggunakan AMFA berbasis MATLAB. Hasil optimasi kemudian dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan manual. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi dan analisis pada tiga tipikal koordinasi, diperoleh bahwa AMFA mampu menghasilkan nilai TDS yang sesuai dengan perhitungan manual, memenuhi Coordination Time Interval (CTI) minimum sebesar 0,2 detik, serta menjaga koordinasi antar rele primer dan backup. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa AMFA efektif digunakan dalam perhitungan TDS dan dapat menjadi metode alternatif yang lebih efisien, otomatis, dan konsisten dibandingkan metode konvensional.

In power systems, a reliable protection system is essential for maintaining the continuity of the electrical power supply and preventing equipment damage caused by disturbances. One commonly used protection device is the Inverse Time Overcurrent Relay (ITOC). The relay’s parameter settings, particularly the Time Dial Setting (TDS), significantly affect the coordination of protection between the primary and backup relays. Manually determining the TDS is often inefficient because it requires a trial-and-error process and takes a considerable amount of time to calculate. Therefore, this study employs the Adaptive Modified Firefly Algorithm (AMFA) to optimize the TDS settings in the electrical system of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda following the integration of the 20 kV PLN supply. This study was conducted by modeling the power system using ETAP, collecting maximum short-circuit current data, identifying relay parameters, and calculating TDS values using a MATLAB-based AMFA. The optimization results were then compared with those from manual calculations. Based on the simulation results and analysis of three typical coordination scenarios, it was found that AMFA is capable of producing TDS values consistent with manual calculations, meeting the minimum Coordination Time Interval (CTI) of 0.2 seconds, and maintaining coordination between primary and backup relays. The results of this study indicate that AMFA is effective for TDS calculations and can serve as a more efficient, automated, and consistent alternative method compared to conventional methods.
