Abstract

Pembangunan Pelabuhan Patimban sebagai Proyek Strategis Nasional melibatkan pekerjaan reklamasi pada tanah lempung lunak laut yang memiliki daya dukung rendah, kompresibilitas tinggi, dan permeabilitas rendah, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan settlement jangka panjang yang signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku settlement area reklamasi Pelabuhan Patimban yang diperkuat dengan metode Cement deep mixing(CDM) menggunakan pemodelan numerik tiga dimensi berbasis PLAXIS 2D. Pemodelan dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi stratifikasi tanah, sistem perkuatan CDM, tahapan konstruksi, serta beban operasional pelabuhan, dengan parameter tanah yang diperoleh dari data investigasi dan pengujian laboratorium proyek. Validasi model dilakukan melalui perbandingan hasil simulasi terhadap data monitoring penurunan lapangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan CDM mampu mereduksi besaran settlement secara signifikan dan mempercepat proses konsolidasi dibandingkan kondisi tanpa perbaikan tanah, serta bahwa pemodelan PLAXIS 2D memberikan prediksi settlement yang cukup akurat dan representatif terhadap kondisi aktual lapangan, khususnya dalam menangkap interaksi tanah–kolom CDM dan distribusi tegangan secara spasial, sehingga metode ini layak digunakan sebagai dasar evaluasi dan perencanaan perbaikan tanah pada proyek reklamasi pelabuhan dengan kondisi geoteknik serupa.

The development of Patimban Port as a National Strategic Project involves reclamation works on marine soft clay characterized by low bearing capacity, high compressibility, and low permeability, which pose a risk of significant long-term settlement. This study aims to analyze the settlement behavior of the Patimban Port reclamation area reinforced with Cement deep mixing(CDM) using three-dimensional numerical modeling with PLAXIS 2D. The model incorporates soil stratification, CDM reinforcement systems, staged construction, and representative operational loads, with soil parameters obtained from site investigation and laboratory test data. Model validation is conducted by comparing numerical results with field settlement monitoring data. The results indicate that the application of CDM significantly reduces settlement magnitude and accelerates the consolidation process compared to untreated ground conditions, and that PLAXIS 2D provides sufficiently accurate and realistic settlement predictions, particularly in capturing soil CDM column interaction and spatial stress distribution, making it a reliable tool for evaluating and designing ground improvement systems in port reclamation projects under similar geotechnical conditions.
