Abstract

Industri otomotif global tengah memasuki fase transformasi menuju elektrifikasi, dengan dukungan kuat dari regulasi pemerintah, termasuk di Indonesia melalui komitmen net-zero emission (NZE) 2060 dan Peraturan Presiden No. 79 Tahun 2023 tentang percepatan program kendaraan listrik serta gelaran PLN ICE 2024. Perkembangan ini tidak hanya membawa perubahan teknologi pada alat transportasi, tetapi juga membuka ruang baru bagi sektor sosial dan ekonomi, khususnya dalam ekosistem motorsport. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan inovasi desain go-kart elektrik dengan sistem modular terpadu yang mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan fleksibilitas dalam kegiatan pelatihan motorsport pada berbagai jenjang dan kelas balap. Konsep ini dirancang untuk memungkinkan penyesuaian ergonomi dan tingkat keselamatan yang sesuai dengan usia, postur, dan keterampilan peserta akademi. Selanjutnya, desain ini diproyeksikan sebagai fondasi strategis bagi pengembangan model bisnis akademi motorsport di Sirkuit Science Techno Park ITS. Dengan pendekatan Human-Centered Design, perancangan ini memadukan analisis masalah, studi lapangan, dan kajian sistem untuk menghasilkan prototipe fungsional yang relevan dan aplikatif. Perancangan ini diharapkan mampu memberikan solusi yang tidak hanya fungsional secara teknis, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada penciptaan ekosistem bisnis dan pendidikan yang berkelanjutan di bidang otomotif nasional.

The global automotive industry is entering a transformation phase toward electrification, with strong support from government regulations, including in Indonesia through the 2060 net-zero emission (NZE) commitment and Presidential Regulation No. 79 of 2023 concerning the acceleration of the electric vehicle program, as well as PLN ICE 2024. This development not only brings technological changes to transportation but also opens up new opportunities for the social and economic sectors, particularly in the motorsport ecosystem. This design aims to produce an innovative electric go-kart design with an integrated modular system that can accommodate the need for flexibility in motorsport training activities across various levels and racing classes. This concept is designed to allow for ergonomic adjustments and safety levels appropriate to the age, posture, and skills of academy participants. Furthermore, this design is projected as a strategic foundation for the development of a motorsport academy business model at the ITS Science Techno Park Circuit. With a Human-Centered Design approach, this design combines problem analysis, field studies, and system studies to produce a functional prototype that is both relevant and applicable. This design is expected to provide solutions that are not only technically functional but also contribute to the creation of a sustainable business and education ecosystem in the national automotive sector.
