Abstract

Industri pertambangan sangat bergantung pada kinerja dan ketersediaan alat berat untuk mendukung kelancaran kegiatan operasional. Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap performa alat berat adalah penerapan sistem perawatan yang tepat dan berkelanjutan. Laporan magang ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan basic maintenance, khususnya preventive maintenance, terhadap performa unit Excavator Komatsu PC 300-8 M0 di PT. Uniteda Arkato Site Tujuh Bukit Operation PT. Bumi Suksesindo. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi langsung di lapangan, pengumpulan data hour meter, data operasional unit, laporan maintenance, data downtime, serta analisis perbandingan kinerja unit yang mendapatkan preventive maintenance tepat waktu dan unit yang mengalami keterlambatan preventive maintenance. Parameter yang digunakan dalam analisis meliputi Mechanical Availability (MA), Physical Availability (PA), dan Effective Utilization (EU), serta analisis Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) untuk mengidentifikasi komponen yang memiliki tingkat risiko kerusakan tinggi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa unit dengan pelaksanaan preventive maintenance tepat waktu memiliki nilai rata-rata MA sebesar 96,1%, PA sebesar 88,6%, dan EU sebesar 68,3%. Sementara itu, unit dengan preventive maintenance yang terlambat menunjukkan penurunan performa dengan nilai MA sebesar 70,3%, PA sebesar 68,5%, dan EU sebesar 53,5%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa keterlambatan preventive maintenance berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan downtime, penurunan keandalan unit, serta menurunnya efektivitas pemanfaatan alat. Selain itu, keterlambatan preventive maintenance berpotensi menimbulkan kerugian finansial yang signifikan akibat berkurangnya waktu operasional unit. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan preventive maintenance secara tepat waktu dan disiplin berperan penting dalam meningkatkan keandalan, ketersediaan, dan efektivitas operasional Excavator Komatsu PC 300-8 M0.

The mining industry relies heavily on the performance and availability of heavy equipment to support the continuity of operational activities. One of the factors influencing heavy equipment performance is the implementation of an appropriate and continuous maintenance system. This internship report aims to analyze the effect of basic maintenance implementation, particularly preventive maintenance, on the performance of a Komatsu PC 300-8 M0 Excavator at PT. Uniteda Arkato Tujuh Bukit Operation Site, PT. Bumi Suksesindo. The methods used in this study included direct field observation, collection of hour meter data, unit operational data, maintenance reports, and downtime data, as well as a comparative analysis of the performance of units receiving timely preventive maintenance and units experiencing delays in preventive maintenance. The performance parameters analyzed included Mechanical Availability (MA), Physical Availability (PA), and Effective Utilization (EU), along with Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify components with a high risk of failure. The results showed that units with timely preventive maintenance achieved average values of 96.1% for MA, 88.6% for PA, and 68.3% for EU. Meanwhile, units experiencing delays in preventive maintenance showed a decline in performance, with MA, PA, and EU values of 70.3%, 68.5%, and 53.5%, respectively. These results indicate that delays in preventive maintenance contribute to increased downtime, reduced unit reliability, and decreased operational utilization effectiveness. Furthermore, delayed preventive maintenance has the potential to cause significant financial losses due to reduced unit operating time. Based on the results of the analysis, the timely and disciplined implementation of preventive maintenance plays an important role in improving the reliability, availability, and operational effectiveness of the Komatsu PC 300-8 M0 Excavator.
