Abstract

Kegiatan magang industri ini dilaksanakan di PT Adyawinsa Plastics Industry dengan fokus pada penyelesaian masalah inefisiensi proses order picking di area gudang finish good. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, staf gudang sering mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan lokasi barang karena tingginya rak penyimpanan dan kemiripan nama produk. Hal ini mengakibatkan rata-rata waktu pencarian mencapai 9,75 menit dan tingkat kesalahan pengambilan sebesar 20%, yang berdampak langsung pada keterlambatan pengiriman barang (delivery) kepelanggan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dirancanglah sebuah Sistem Pemandu Lokasi Rak berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan mengadaptasi konsep Pick-to-Light (P2L). Sistem ini menggunakan mikrokontroler Arduino Wemos, indikator visual dan audio (Pilot Lamp), serta tombol konfirmasi (Push Button) yang terintegrasi dengan aplikasi pusat melalui jaringan Wi-Fi. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam perancangan dan penyelesaian masalah ini adalah DMAIC (Define, Measure,Analyze, Improve, Control). Implementasi sistem ini secara konseptual dirancang untuk memberikan panduan visual dan audio secara langsung di lokasi rak yang dituju. Dengan perbaikan tersebut, sistem diharapkan mampu menurunkan waktu pencarian barang menjadi kurang dari 1 menit dan meningkatkan akurasi pengambilan barang hingga di atas 90%.

This industrial internship was conducted at PT Adyawinsa Plastics Industry and focused on solving inefficiencies in the order picking process in the finished goods warehouse. Observations revealed that warehouse staff often experienced difficulty locating items due to the height of the shelves and the similarity of product names. This resulted in an average search time of 9.75 minutes and a 20% error rate, which directly impacted customer delivery delays. To address this issue, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Shelf Location Guidance System was designed, adapting the Pick-to-Light (P2L) concept. This system utilizes an Arduino Wemos microcontroller, visual and audio indicators (Pilot Lamps), and a confirmation button (Push Button) integrated with a central application via a Wi-Fi network. The methodology used in designing and solving this problem is DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The system's implementation is conceptually designed to provide visual and audio guidance directly at the intended shelf location. With these improvements, the system is expected to reduce item search time to less than 1 minute and increase picking accuracy to above 90%.
