Abstract

Hemodinamika telah menjadi salah satu topik yang penting dalam diagnosis penyumbatan pada arteri retina sentral atau central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO). Selama ini penelitian terkait hemodinamika pada CRAO hanya terfokus pada kasus satu bentuk geometri stenosis dalam satu segmen. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis tiga variasi bentuk geometri stenosis berganda dalam satu segmen (bell-bell, bell-elliptical, bell-cosine) untuk mendapatkan profil kecepatan, tekanan, dan temperatur pembuluh darah retina. Model aliran darah ditransformasi menjadi bentuk model non-dimensional kemudian didiskritisasi dengan Finite Volume Method (FVM) dan diselesaikan dengan algoritma Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure-Linked Equations (SIMPLE). Hasil penyelesaian model penelitian ini disimulasikan dengan MATLAB dengan nilai Reynolds number yang telah tervalidasi. Hasil simulasi penelitian ini dapat memberikan profil kecepatan, tekanan, dan temperatur pembuluh darah retina dengan kasus stenosis berganda untuk membantu diagnosis CRAO.

Hemodynamics has become an important topic in the diagnosis of central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO). Recent research related to hemodynamics in CRAO has only focused on cases of a single stenosis geometry in a single segment. This study focuses on the analysis of two stenosis geometries (bell-bell, bell-elliptical, bell-cosine) in a single segment to obtain the information of velocity, pressure, and temperature of the retinal blood vessels. The blood flow model was formulated as a non-dimensional model, then
discretized using the Finite Volume Method (FVM) and solved using the Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure-Linked Equations (SIMPLE) algorithm. The results of this final project’s model were simulated using MATLAB using a validated Reynolds number. The modeling results provide information on the velocity, pressure, and temperature of retinal blood vessels in cases of multiple stenosis to aid in the diagnosis of CRAO
