Abstract
Indonesia merupakan negara yang berada pada kawasan Ring of Fire dengan aktivitas kegempaan yang tinggi sehingga diperlukan sistem struktur yang mampu meningkatkan kinerja bangunan terhadap beban gempa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan kinerja struktur gedung hotel beton bertulang 10 lantai di Surabaya pada kondisi Fixed Base dan Base Isolation menggunakan High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB). Analisis struktur dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak ETABS dengan mengacu pada SNI 1726:2019, SNI 1727:2020, dan SNI 2847:2019. Evaluasi kinerja struktur ditinjau berdasarkan beberapa parameter serta analisis pushover menggunakan metode ATC-40 dan FEMA 356. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan HDRB meningkatkan periode fundamental struktur dari 1,600 detik menjadi 3,340 detik atau sebesar 108,75%. Nilai story drift maksimum menurun sebesar 51,67% pada arah X dan 56,49% pada arah Y dibandingkan struktur Fixed Base. Hasil analisis pushover menunjukkan bahwa struktur Fixed Base berada pada tingkat kinerja Damage Control (DC), sedangkan struktur Base Isolation HDRB berada pada tingkat kinerja Immediate Occupancy (IO) dengan perkembangan sendi plastis yang lebih terkendali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sistem Base Isolation tipe HDRB lebih efektif dibandingkan sistem Fixed Base dalam meningkatkan kinerja seismik gedung hotel beton bertulang 10 lantai di Surabaya.

Indonesia is located in the Ring of Fire, making it highly susceptible to seismic activity. Therefore, structural systems capable of improving building performance under earthquake loads are essential. This study aims to compare the seismic performance of a 10-story reinforced concrete hotel building in Surabaya using Fixed Base and Base Isolation systems with High Damping Rubber Bearing (HDRB). Structural analysis was carried out using ETABS software in accordance with SNI 1726:2019, SNI 1727:2020, and SNI 2847:2019. The structural performance was evaluated based on several response parameters and nonlinear static (pushover) analysis using the ATC-40 and FEMA 356 methods. The results indicate that the implementation of HDRB increased the fundamental period of the structure from 1.600 s to 3.340 s, representing an increase of 108.75%. In addition, the maximum story drift was reduced by 51.67% in the X-direction and 56.49% in the Y-direction compared with the Fixed Base structure. The pushover analysis showed that the Fixed Base structure achieved the Damage Control (DC) performance level, whereas the Base Isolation HDRB structure achieved the Immediate Occupancy (IO) performance level with more controlled plastic hinge development. These findings demonstrate that the HDRB Base Isolation system is more effective than the Fixed Base system in improving the seismic performance of a 10-story reinforced concrete hotel building in Surabaya.
