Abstract
Di Indonesia, kepemilikan mobil klasik telah bergeser dari sekadar alat transportasi menjadi aset investasi bernilai tinggi. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa segmen Luxury Classic merupakan peluang pasar yang besar dan masih jarang digarap oleh industri lokal. Meskipun memiliki tingkat peminat yang tinggi, penggunaan mobil klasik untuk aktivitas touring sering terkendala oleh mesin tua yang rentan mengalami kerusakan. Di sisi lain, industri otomotif global merespons permasalahan tersebut melalui tren restomod dan elektrifikasi untuk memperbarui teknologi tanpa menghilangkan karakter klasik kendaraan. Namun, adopsi kendaraan listrik murni di Indonesia masih menghadapi kendala berupa belum meratanya infrastruktur stasiun pengisian daya. Menanggapi peluang pasar dan tantangan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang mobil konsep segmen Luxury bergaya klasik berbasis sistem Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV). Metode perancangan meliputi observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, studi literatur, dan locator gauge process. Hasil penelitian berupa konsep kendaraan Luxury yang mengintegrasikan siluet klasik ke dalam karakter desain. Sistem EREV dipilih sebagai solusi yang menjembatani tren elektrifikasi dengan kebutuhan touring, sehingga mampu memberikan kenyamanan sekaligus jarak tempuh yang lebih jauh. Konsep ini diharapkan dapat mendorong industri coachbuilder lokal untuk menciptakan inovasi kendaraan yang mandiri dan memiliki nilai jual tinggi.

In Indonesia, classic car ownership has shifted from merely serving as a means of transportation to becoming a high-value investment asset. This indicates that the Luxury Classic segment represents a significant market opportunity that remains largely untapped by the local industry. Despite its growing popularity, the use of classic cars for touring activities is often constrained by aging engines that are prone to mechanical failure. Meanwhile, the global automotive industry has responded to this challenge through restomod and electrification trends that modernize vehicle technology while preserving the classic design. However, the adoption of fully electric vehicles in Indonesia is still limited by the uneven availability of charging infrastructure. In response to these market opportunities and challenges, this study aims to design a classic-styled Luxury concept car based on an Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) system. The design methodology includes observation, interviews, questionnaires, literature review, and the locator gauge process. The resulting design is a Luxury concept vehicle that integrates a classic silhouette into its overall design character. The EREV system was selected as an ideal solution to bridge the electrification trend with touring requirements by providing both driving comfort and extended driving range. This concept is expected to encourage the local coachbuilder industry to develop independent and highly marketable vehicle innovations.
